Small but cozy diner. You got free appetizers and desert if dining-in. The Burmese fried wide flat noodle, with protein of your choice, is a must try.

Charming and classic with a small-capital city vibe

Had a quick stop over at Albany station and went to get some dinner. They graciously prepared my order in time for me to get back to the train on time.

Not many places in the area to get this kind of food, so I'm glad this restaurant is here because it's really good. The service is also very kind and friendly in a welcoming atmosphere. If you haven't had this kind of food before I recommend giving it a try.

This is the best restaurant experience I have ever had. Cozy, unpretentious place with unbelievably great food. I travel a lot for my job so I eat out a lot. I had the vegan curry with brown rice. I never have had a better curry dish. The soup, slaw, and desert were all part of the meal. The desert was like a French bakery but better. Prices are too low. The family that runs this are wonderful people. I read some reviews that said the service is a bit slow . I disagree. This is not previously frozen chain restaurant food. Everything is cooked to order and prepared for you. Makes a difference. If you are in hurry and don't want to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, then order to go. They also had a surprise birthday desert for a guest with the entire family led by the 4 year old grand daughter of the owners joining in.

Delicious Burmese fish curry, thick with chana dal. Delightful and friendly family. It was well worth a detour.

A tiny restaurant that should absolutely not be overlooked and is worth a detour. You could get a delivery, but the attentiveness of the staff and the cozy atmosphere is well worth it.
The crispy tofu was cooked perfectly, the salad was fragrant, crunchy and well-balanced, the main dishes were a majestic blend of taste and the iced tea was addictive. The cashew nut stir-fry had tender pieces of chicken and crunchy vegetables in a sweet and savory sauce, definitely the highlight of our meal. The Palata bread was also excellent, freshly made, buttery and flaky on the inside, resembling a croissant in texture and taste, even though we ordered it thinking it was a flatbread of sorts.
The only thing we didn't quite like was the shrimp that came with the Burmese flat wide noodles, choosing a different type of meat would've made the dish much better.

This was my first time trying Burmese food and I'm happy this was my first experience. The restaurant has a few small tables inside and service is done by the sweetest waitress. First, make sure you get the iced tea (Burmese style). This place is known for their tea leaf salad and it did not disappoint. It had a light dressing, the perfect amount of crunch and it was a good portion. Also tried the mango salad which was similar to the tea leaf salad but the mango added a touch of sweetness. It was a great balance. The vegan Burmese spring rolls were absolutely delicious. The dipping sauce they came with was an interesting bbqesque sauce that had a great balance of sweet and spicy.
There are many options for vegan/vegetarian so if that's your thing you should be able so find something. Speaking of, the Burmese tofu fried noodles were great. Good flavor with a light soy sauce. Also, the pork belly stew (served spicy) was absolutely perfect.
To end the meal a nice banana spring roll is a great choice.
Loved everything about this place and will definitely be back.

We had an exceptional meal here! The pork belly stew was definitely a standout, but all the food was really good. And all the staff were amazingly kind and accommodating to us. We loved it here and are definitely planning to come back!

Incredible food. Shwe has won my undying loyalty. Yes, yes, the service is slow—if that makes you uncomfortable, treat it as an opportunity for personal development.
