Great spot!? I ordered a BEC & opted for whole wheat toast -the bread was full of seeds & delicious! Great selection of ciders & local produce as well. Homemade chickpea & sesame ginger slaw was UNREAL! (see photos)I want to go back in the summer when it’s warmer to see what other goodies I find ??

Hidden little gem with great pantry staples, local beer, local hard cider, and really good food. Try the griddled banana bread. So good!

Sweet family run short- order greasy spoon nestled in a rural market stocked with pantry essentials and regional sundries. The coffee was tasty and hot and they let us hole up for a couple hours. So grateful to have a place to hang on a cold winters day!Kid-friendliness: Play area

Stopped by for a quick snack off the Taconic, but the spot's charm and Craig's welcoming kitchen vibe convinced us to stay for breakfast. It's like being at home with Craig flipping up breakfast and burgers while chatting with the locals at the counter.A variety of cold and hot beverages, snacks, chips, and cheeses - you won't leave hungry. It's more than just breakfast; it's a heartfelt embrace plated with care.Special shoutout to Craig for those incredible chips! A must-visit if you're passing through – until next time, old Brooklyn neighbor!

Great local eatery with the nicest young couple who owns and runs it! Food is good. They have basic grocery items so you don't have to drive 20 miles. Love this place.

Golden Russet Cafe is a local gem. It's located in the Schultzville area, just a short drive from the Village of Rhinebeck. It's a cafe and a general store, with many basics, plus interesting provisions for locals and visitors alike. With the largest variety of New York hard ciders in the region, ask Craig, the owner, for recommendations as he is truly a cider expert. He wrote a book on the subject and you can purchase the book there, too. On today's visit, we had an egg sandwich and the fried chicken sandwich, both of which were very good (and well-priced, too). We left with a bottle of Pear Cider and a plan to return on a sunnier day so we can enjoy eating on the cozy porch or grab some food to enjoy on a picnic hike.

Golden Russet Cafe is just a short drive from the Taconic Parkway (about two miles). It's a really nice country store with a lovely menu for breakfast and lunch. We stopped in for breakfast with the grandsons. The breakfast sandwiches were a good choice. They came fast and hot right off the griddle. We had some freshly made banana bread too. All quite tasty. The staff at Golden Russet are friendly and go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and appreciated.
