Toasting is Key!(Take a page from Beekman Arms where they toast all sandwiches.)

My girlfriend and I got a sausage, egg, and cheese, a pastrami reuben, and an apple. The food is delicious, the service was great, and the price was reasonable! Overall, a perfect 5/7

I stopped in there on the last day of 2021. What a delicious and nice way to end a bad year. Their pastrami sandwich and New England clam chowder was the best! The staff was very friendly too. Even though I live in Ulster County, I will visit there again soon and I plan on becoming a regular customer. Yum!

I ordered the triple threat and they did not put prosciutto on the sandwich, instead they put ham and didn’t tell me about the change. They also didn’t put any lettuce, tomato, or onion on my sandwich either. It was a sub par sandwich especially for the price I paid for it. When a sandwich says prosciutto they should use real prosciutto!

Food is always fresh and tasty! Friendly atmosphere, can't go wrong! It's our go-to sandwich stop in the Rhinebeck/Red Hook area now.

Was here 2 months ago great sub. Came back for the second and this is what I got for 12 dollars. 3 slices of turkey on half of a sub.

What a great spot in the heart of the Village of Rhinebeck. Freshly made sandwiches..wow. Delish. Nice selection of fresh beef and chicken as well. Had some nice items to buy to go with the steaks like local rubs-spices and BBQ sauces. Friendly staff as well. Place is new and much needed here in Rhinebeck. Love it. Will be back soon.

My husband and I live in Red Hook and absolutely LOVE Prime meats in Rhinebeck. The staff is lovely, accommodating, and are always smiling. The only upsetting aspect is the staff continues to ask the owners for a "toaster oven" because many people enjoy toasted sandwiches. I know many times my family and I have asked for toasted bread and they have accommodated us during a VERY busy rush hour by toasting bread on the panini press (which is now broken ). I have heard multiple times from others and the staff that the owners refuse to purchase a toaster because they insist "people do not need things toasted. "As much as I love Prime meats, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, purchase a toaster AND fix the panini machine. People enjoy toasty sandwiches!! I'm willing to purchase a toaster oven for the shop myself in lieu of a sandwich because y'all make amazing sandwiches!!!!!

Had the tripple threat. It was good. Cant go wrong with boars head. Noticed a wonderful sandwich smell that comes from fresh cut bread and toppings. Lovely place and atmosphere. Just needs some pocket house made aolis or relishes that could make your mouth water! I will be back again..

My daughter and I stopped for a quick bite before heading back to the city. The specialty sandwiches we had were really fresh and really good. I’m hoping to try a few more very soon!!!

What makes PRIME top-notch is the hand-made sandwiches....and the staff who make them. I go there 2-3 times a week and have NEVER been let down with my order. So far, unless there's an order by some contractor for 10 sandwiches, there's usually never a wait but only a matter of time before that changes. Parking, of course, is an issue but if you call ahead, they'll bring it out to the car. There is a deli case with local fresh meats and poultry but I'm not so sure they sell very well as 99% of us full-timers prefer the butcher at Adams or Tops. Maybe this appeals to the weekenders, however. And the other products, like over-priced sauces and teas, meh.....seems like wasted shelf space. A pair of tables in their place would be more helpful for my sorry old a*** and desired, once the cold weather sets in. On behalf of a couple of us who eat outside there regularly, there is nothing closer to a Jewish deli sandwich anywhere. We love it and sure hope, PRIME finds their permanent groove here in Rhinebeck. SUGGESTION, break through the wall to the beer joint next door.
