As a kid of a father that was in the army, and my grandfather was in the navy, I appreciated the pride and the pictures of their son in the military and the decorum. The food was excellent. The brisket melted in my mouth. The fried pickles were excellent. My husbands French vanilla coffee was a work of art. My rum punch was so delicious. Definitely stop by this restaurant and experience Kingston. It was so great. Thank you !

We loved this place! Why? Because as self-proclaimed barbecue snobs, we have been searching for good barbecue in New York for a long time. We started with barbecue gumbo, which I didn’t know I needed in my life, but now I do. It was such a nice surprise! We had the pulled pork sandwiches with slaw, and they were really good—the best we’ve had up north. The pork was smokey and tender, and flavorful—it really needed minimal sauce—which was also delicious. We tried the collards, which were perfectly prepared, as well as the burnt end beans, which were unique but really good. Everything was well balanced, the drinks were great, and the house-made desserts are out of this world! We took home the maple bourbon pecan pie and the baklava cheesecake. The owners take a lot of pride in their food and it shows. The staff are all pleasant and fun to talk to, and the owner/chefs/bakers are such nice people. Our server, Lindsey, was great! We went on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon at about 4, and sat outside. It was the perfect time to be there. We will be back!
Food was amazing, desserts looked amazing too but we were too full to try. Drinks were great as well. Kid friendly but no changing table in the main bathroom on the first floor, not sure if one was available elsewhere in the building.

Wow. Amazing food. Amazing ambiance. Amazing service. Everything here hits. Super casual home style garden area in front is perfect for nice weather days and the Indoor area is just as good when it's not. Everything is clean and everyone is helpful and polite and conversational. I couldn't say enough great things about this place. Just wow.

Phenomenal bbq. A little pricey but I don’t mind too much when the food is this good. Worth it. Favorites things we tried: pulled pork, wings, sausage, corn fritters, and Mac and cheese fritters with the sauce (some sort of red pepper chipotle)

Was one of the top ten meals of my life! I never tasted anything so artfully crafted as the dry rub Louisiana Ribs!! My gosh! So melt in your mouth tender on the inside with the tang and the outside crispy and rich with spice. Just incredible! The beans were amazing!!! The sweet potato fries, I mean I don’t even usually like wedge shaped fries but these were so crispy outside and cooked through like a great Belgian fry. A master at heat this chef! And our server was soooo nice and fun! I forgot her name :( Brown hair and glasses, what a good person. Thank you so much for this brilliant meal! We are so sad we didn’t take pictures because we were having such a great experience. #GETTHEDRYRUB!!!

$26.00 for a cheeseburger? C'mon guy! If you are going to serve Fish and Chips, don't give actual potato chips as the chips! For the cost, you can do better than that. Over $500.00 dollars for seven people (in fairness, there were several beers ordered) and two of those orders were wings and a cheeseburger. I ordered the whole chicken. It was fantastic! The sides (baked beans and collards) left a lot to be desired. The service was great!
