As a local, I love dining at The Amsterdam in Rhinebeck. The food is always fresh and delicious, and the service is impeccable. I recently tried the new scallops on the menu, and they were outstanding. The staff is friendly and attentive, making every visit a pleasure. The beverage selection is top-notch, perfectly complementing the meal. Highly recommend for a fantastic dining experience.

This was our first time here. We were greeted with very professional staff, food was delicious, atmosphere was great. The only thing I would say was when we asked for more coffee, we were told they only made one and there was none left. Based on this I'm assuming they were trying to say no free refills? I would have at least been offered to buy the second cup.

Frank at the bar was very knowledgeable about the cocktails and was very creative when I told him what I was eating and made a drink to pair with each of my orders for an app, entree and dessert. The room is nicely decorated and you could see into the kitchen as everyone worked. Spoke to two of the kitchen staff Taylor and Matt while they worked and they recommended the steak frites which hit the spot.
Highly recommend for the delicious food, ambiance and drinks.

Great little spot for some American cuisine and draft beer. I had biscuits and gravy, and my wife had the chorizo burrito, both were fantastic. We also were able to sit on the covered, heated porch with our dog!

We had the family here for the first time last night. We started with the Calamari and the Housemade Ricotta. Both were wonderful. Then our party ordered The NY strip, the steak frites, a pecan encrusted rack of lamb (a special that night), the pappardelle bolognese, and the Burger. Everything was tasty and perfectly prepared EXACTLY as we ordered. The strip was between medium and medium rare and a high quality steak. The frites were perfect. The pappardelle was fresh made and the sauce outstanding. The lamb was served with a chimmichurri and had 6 chops that were excellent. The Burger was a sight to see. It was large and pink and great. Then we had practically one of everything for dessert which was the end to a perfect night. The service COULD NOT HAVE BEEN BETTER. We had one main server, Lily, who was professional and got everything right (Definitely ask for her) and a handful of other servers during the night that were attentive and professional. The kitchen is in full view of every table and was great to watch. The room was comfortable and the ambiance helped make the night special. Highly recommend this for a dinner you can count on as being one of the best.

Food is excellent. We went for brunch, our second time, and everything we’ve ordered has been delicious. Get alllll the pastries! The staff is ON POINT! Shoutout Paige and the host (I’m so sorry I didn’t catch his name) for accommodating us with our baby and helping make our experience so much more enjoyable. Not sure if it’s the way they were trained or just because they are wonderful human beings but either way I hope their managers take note!

We were there midday for brunch in a Saturday and everything was impressive. That includes the service, atmosphere and the food. We had the salmon toast to start and French toast with two eggs scrambled. I’m a bit of a French toast snob and this by far is one of my favorites. I tried some of the chicken sandwich which was delicious as well. We enjoyed the pastry with the Latte so much so we order the rest to go so we could try them all . There was no time for pictures we were hungry and enjoying the moments.
Kid-friendliness: We had our nine month old and they were very accommodating .. we had a good corner table just to be able to prop all of the baby things
