Top notch eatery in Dutchess County. The bar is extremely classy and expertly tended. If you've got some extra coin and are looking to make your food dreams reality put The Local on your list. Great service. I was disappointed that the expensive red wine I selected came very cold. Tough to provide a real review as my husband, daughter and I only stopped in for a quick drink and dessert during the Rhinebeck Sinterklaas day festival. But it was a great looking place, the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, the drinks were first rate and the dessert top notch. If I didn't live an hour away I'd certainly return soon - as it is I'm going to remember to come back as soon as I can.
The food was delicious, the service was perfect. The most impressive thing was that after we left the restaurant I got a call saying that I had left something under my seat (it had been my birthday dinner and I left a gift). By the time I got the message I was back in Atlanta, GA. So Brynn, the woman who contacted me, popped it into the mail for me. In this day and age when things no longer feel personal, this was a huge boost and says a lot about the staff at The Local.
