We really wanted to like it but many things were wrong.
To start, the service, particularly the main server was great and we loved the cocktails but the portions were small, the food was expensive, they only had two beers on the menu, one of which was PBR, our cappuccinos were cold and the crab cakes were the size of a peppermint
For a pasta dish of $35 dollars to not even have enough to satiate you after having two appetizers is a joke. If it was amazing that would excuse it but I've made better mushroom pasta in my tiny apartment.
Also it's worth noting I went here for my birthday and it's possible Resy didn't communicate that to the staff properly but nothing at all was done for that.
For the price you're charging this isn't remotely good enough although I feel it has the potential to be great. I hope this place does well but we will never be back.

The duck confit was excellent: strong flavors and moist. I would happily eat this many times. The skewer appetizer and the fettuccini were good. The desserts left me expecting more.

The restaurants past reviews are over rated in my opinion. We dined there last week with high expectations based on recent reviews. The food was good....but certainly not outstanding. The cost/price was also quite high.
We were a bit disappointed

Chef Daniel and sous chef Dumont were just fabulous . The food was just beyond perfection (my favorites - stuffed artichoke and endive salad ). And to enhance the experience - Dumont served us a delicious gin/ rose water cocktail .
The baked Nebraska for dessert is a MUST try !!!
Thank you for such an amazing gastronomy experience !

Fantastic white table cloth restaurant in an intimate setting. Chef Daniel is the best. Crab cakes, endive salad, and baked Nebraska are perennial hits on the menu. You'll find interesting rotations in the entree section with fresh innovative seasonal ingredients. Currently the steak with lime pickle is fantastic.

Best udon noodles ever! It felt like I was back in Japan. In addition the chef will cater to all of your dietary requirements, it’s like having your own personal chef. What a great experience, we will be back!
Vegetarian options: Ask the chef for a vegetarian option.
Dietary restrictions: I am gluten free and lactose free, I got would recommend ordering Udan noodles but ask for rice noodles it’s delicious!

The meal was lovely. The crab cake appetizer was perfect. Beets in the beet salad were so sweet. Our main courses were good. Our mains, chicken breast, and snapper were really good. The mushroom sauce was just right. The baked Nebraska was a miss, but did not detract from the overall experience; the absolute charm of every aspect of the setting and service fully made up for any other shortcomings. We would recommend this to anyone. Who doesn't love dinner in a restaurant carved into someone's home? FYI, the menu changes frequently(daily?) so one day may be better then the next.

What a wonderful find! Be SURE to get reservations -- the place is tiny, and the menu is constantly changing, but they pretty much promise (and deliver) that there will be something for every taste -- beef, bird, fish and vegetarian options there every time. The chef and his kitchen are at your (literal) elbow. The rest of the staff (all 3 of them) bends over backwards to to make sure you understand everything on the menu, and that you always have everything you need. I could not have been happier at the end of the night. Definitely going back the next time I am in the area!
Parking: The Tasting Room is in a house -- there is a sign on the road, but you might think you are in the wrong place. There is parking near the front as well as around back -- follow the signs to find the door to the restaurant (at the back of the house, and underneath it). A little quirky, but DEFINITELY worth it!

My first time ever at the Tasting Room was a knock out experience. It was a Ramen night like no other - and I and my party love Ramen - we are now spoiled. Will be back soon with a further review but the food was superior, the setting beautiful and warm, and the service intimate and personal - we felt personally fed and celebrated by Daniel. Go as soon as you are able.

Literally in dudes basement - could smell the basement as soon as you walked in; the food was depressing just like the place itself - terrible parking -- super over priced and dude gets away with it bc it's Rhinebeck -- 10/10 won't be back again. Needs an update in the decor and possibly even a new venue for the restaurant itself.
