The beautiful old Beekman Arms Hotel and Tavern are jewels of Dutchess County. We are loyal customers and dine here frequently. The mussels and fish are always fresh, the meat (mostly from local farms) is very tender and tasty, and the drinks are made by a talented bartender. No tiny martinis here! For this dinner the three of us ordered shrimp stuffed with crabmeat accompanied by risotto, a standard menu item. As appetizers we ordered onion soup and mushroom toast with salad (to share). Excellent! During peak holiday weekends the noise level can rise and the wait staff can become overextended. But that's to be expected almost everywhere.

Great restaurant and service. Took my mother there for her birthday. We've been there a few times, my only constructive feedback would be about the meat temperature... consistently one notch more cooked than desired. So, medium rare comes out medium or medium well for example. I said something once, and they redid the steak and it came out the same. It was still delicious, but wanted to pass that feedback along. I other words, order beef rare.

Worst food I've been served in a restaurant in many years. You would get better food at an IHOP. The Dutch turkey pot pie was basically starchy Campbell soup with uncooked vegetables and something that looked like left over chicken strings. The potatoes were hard and crunchy, I don't know how you can serve that to a customer. Extremely bland. It also wasn't in any definition of the word a pie. (And I'm Dutch, there's absolutely nothing Dutch about this nor would any Dutch person consider this a Dutch pot pie.)Just look at the picture I've included. Slop.Much to my amazement, after we had the waitress take all of the food back 90% uneaten, she didn't even ask if there was a problem, if we liked it, etc. She just took it back and didn't say anything about it, and then brought us the check for very overpriced garbage food. So add bad service to the bad food.

Staff and food were excellent. It did take a while to get our orders and we were seated in the outside atrium would have preferred the cozy interior wish they had asked before seating us.

Great setting, pleasant service, damn fine food! If you're looking for a tavern setting you can't beat this authentic archetypal setting. The bar has very good local beers in tap. Grilled Broccoli salad was wonderful. Dutch Style turkey pot pie, solid (a large biscuit is floated in the middle in lieu of the top crust). Tables, booths, and even a more modern event room and enclosed patio. I love this place. Well worth the trip.

Ryan is gem, just fantastic service, great banter, super helpful. Literally guided me through the parking lot over the phone to find my parking spot when google maps wouldnt work. A beautiful Inn, fantastic people work here, could not recommend it more.

We went to the Beekman Arms for a Valentine's dinner. The prime rib and everything that went with it was superb. I had requested a quiet table and we were seated in a small dining room with only 3 other couples. It was a very nice night out.

We were a large crowd and took over the 10 seat bar. Mary the bartender, handled us and other patrons straight away. The bar is cozy yet roomy with a warm relaxed vibe. We did not dine there but the food that passed us by did look delicious. Next time, I'll give the food a whack.

Wonderful atmosphere in and old fashion setting. My wife and I both had the shrimp entree with crabmeat stuffing.. It was delicious.. The dimly lit Tavern is something that all Taverns should subscribe to.. Service was great, friendly and efficient.. Highly recommended..

My friends and I love the old feel of the tavern and the past history when we eat there. Plus, the food, drinks, and service are phenomenal.

Great historical inn and tavern with history dating back to the 13 colonies. Wonderful atmosphere, food, and cocktails.
