Ideal location on a large lake just outside Richfield Springs. We came with our dog and my father in law stayed at the inn while we went to the Hockey games at the Nexus center. We stayed 3 nights and had a great time. Tried the ice fishing and we just loved doing that with our dog and kids. Pet friendly is hard to find and this location is perfect with the lake and convivence to the hockey games .Rooms: Spacious and down to earth. We had a lake view and it was beautiful with the ice on the lake

As it is near the end of the 2023 season, the restaurant was open Fri and Sat noon to 9pm. Two of my dear friends helped me celebrate my birthday over lunch at this lovely and interesting venue. Many antiques and a wall of various wine selections surround us along with a view of the lake. The food was very good and our waitress/cook was friendly and made certain that we were taken care of throughout our visit. I would like to return next year during the summer season. I'm sure it will be beautiful, fun and satisfying.

One of The best fresh meals, in this entire area,I have had in years cooked to perfection. Memories of years past with family and friends. Also eclectic Memorabilia in many areas. Looking forward to returning when they reopen in the Spring.

BEWARE!!! I hesitated to write this review because I am big on supporting small businesses, but when I read the reviews (after I stayed here) I realized with bad reviews from 12 yeas ago I thought these owners aren't listening to their customers. I don't know where to begin. We came here with 2 other couples. As soon as you walked in the front door there was a strong musty smell. Our friend uses a cane and stairs are very difficult. Nothing is handicap accessible, which I thought was a law in New York State. So much clutter and not clean! After getting our keys to our room we made our way up 2 flights of stairs, no elevators, which made it difficult for our friend who struggled to get to the top. There was an open area that had a sink,(dirty), a stove( rust around the burners and grease that was 1" thick) , refrigerator and microwave that had dirt on the handles that didn't look like it had been cleaned for years. The rooms had old curtains and a funny smell coming out of the heater that was not turned on. There were dead bugs behind the night stand, it made us wonder what was behind the bed. We took off the flimsy comforter and slept on the bottom of the bed in fear that the bugs would crawl up on us from behind the headboard. The bathroom sink and tub had built up soap scum and there was a leak in the sink that was spilling onto the floor. The soap dish and cup holder was worn out and old . The only area that was nice was the bar area. DO NOT stay here, read the reviews before booking, I wish I did.

Went here for dinner tonight and the food was incredible along with the service! I got the baked haddock with fries my boyfriend got the chicken parm, the food was so flavorful. My boyfriend got a mixed drink and said it was perfect. The place was very clean. Staff is very kind and even made a cat friend, Teddy. Highly recommend!! I couldn't give a rating for rooms as we didn't stay but the place is beautiful I can only assume the rooms are too!

They could not make a gin and tonic. Not sure what they used, they tried twice, ended up with a chilled glass of Cabernet…The salad was very small and mostly stems. The ribs were dry, the salmon was over done and the chicken parm was inedible. The mashed potatoes were good however a child size portion. They had canned mixed vegetables, you are in farm country with fresh veggies at every farm stand around. The view is great but would not eat there again

One of the worst meals my wide and I have ever had. My wife's salad with chicken was a half head of lettuce salt in half with something that didn't resemble chicken. My roast pork was dry and served with the saddest vegetables I have ever seen. The place was dirty. The waitress smock was stained. The table was gross. We should have left before we ordered.

Needed a close place for a quick dinner. Should have heeded the reviews. Our waitress took our order and my wife's salad with something that was supposed to be chicken appeared. It sure didn't taste like broiled chicken. My dinner didn't arrive for some time. I had to remind the waitress about my salad. The roast pork was edible and served with the saddest vegetables I have ever seen. While waiting for dinner, I noticed how dirty the table was. It seemed like the staff was running in circles. I would not return.

Beautiful View! Waitresses were pleasant & courteous, was able to share dinner with the the neighborhood cat, not sure that’s in compliance with NYS Board of Health. But Teddy certainly a very friendly feline. The rooms are very rustic definitely can use lots of updating. Lightning is poor, steps not marked for handicap accessibility, apparently pet friendly which our room definitely had an odor of some sort & our shower hmm you may want to consider using the lake. WiFi hit & miss. Certainly overpriced for the accommodations. Not sure we will return till major renovations completed.

The photos are very deceptive. I wouldn't buy a bag a chips there. In fact if the area had a Health and Building Code Office they should visit. The building does have a fire sprinkler system thank god cause it looks like it may burn down. The building is run down and the entrance is a hazard. rotted wood frame. steps are not building code compliant. Looks like someone built them with one eye closed. The check in had your key hung next to the unit door. No one in structure to answer any questions at all-No human to check you in. There are three floors with no elevator. There is no handi-cap compliance at all. When entering it looks like someone's old storage area. wrench's on the desk top, old books, dirty, The third floor room was clean. The bathroom shower did not work. The toilet was the size of a day care center for kids.NOT WORTH DRIVING PAST.

The place needs a lot of work!!Server was new. She did fine. Ordered drom dinner menu. Salad was OK. fFries and salad were decent. Our entrées were absolutely terrible. Pasta dish Chicken Riggies. Terrible and plate was filled with water, cold and taste was awful. Pork Dinner tasted like it was cooked a week ago. The place could do very well. Dirty and cluttered. Dead Bird on the floor of the dining area on deck for some time. Drinks were good, all I got. Will nevergo back and I do not recommend.

Stayed here by chance and what an incredible find! If you are looking for modern conveniences, this is not for you…but as a historical place; it’s loaded with history! Clean, comfortable, nice people, very good restaurant…salmon was perfect! And beautiful view! I will be back! Oh, great character too!

My friend and I were in the area and decided to stop in for lunch. it was nice so we decided to eat on a back deck looking out at a lake. The food was decent but apparently our server forgot the rest of her clothes. She looked as if she was just wearing a pair of stockings no trousers.
