Xinni cancelled my vrbo reservation at one of the winery cottages 1 week out because her family wanted to stay there. I had this reservation confirmed and paid for 4 months in advance for my cousin’s wedding. Her only resolution was to point me to a hotel 25 minutes away that was already sold out or to come back in August. She claimed to vrbo the reason for cancellation was “natural disaster” to avoid being fined and penalized. Vrbo investigated our communication history and is handling the situation.

Wines we tasted were all fairly sweet so not my taste. I understand the winery has recently been sold. Hopefully, the new owners can afford to provide at least one real wine glass for a tasting. Drinking wine out of a tiny plastic cup, reminiscent of the dentist's office, is just tacky and no way to actually taste the wine. Perhaps better days ahead.
