we have been eating goldberg bagels for a decade now. This past saturday was the worst experience at a bagel store. We ordered a bagel with cinnamon walnut cream cheese. a bagel with extra butter and 7 extra bagels well let's start with the cream cheese bagel it was sour the cream cheese. I had to bring it back to the store and exchange it for another with vegetable cream cheese instead. what a disappointment that was. then the bagel with extra butter literally had NO butter just a thin coat of butter. I am pretty sure it was done on purpose because i have never seen a bagel store do this before. now onto the 7 extra bagels we ordered them everything bagels. first time ever We had to throw them all away. they put so much salt in the everything mix it was over powering and just way too much besides all the bagels were stale. 25.00 spent and it was the worst food ever. such a shame this place used to be my favorite bagel shop. I would
never go back ever again

Bagel was top notch and having an everything egg bagel means they’re an elite bagel joint but the staff aren’t that friendly and the place is small. Good bagels but recommend to take it to go.
$6.50 for two eggs on a bagel (no meat) is a bit pricey but typical for the area

Why is the Riverhead location of Goldberg’s so atrocious compared to its siblings? Every time we visit this eatery they find new ways to ruin our order, the service is belligerent at best, and they still expect $10-$15 for a bagel sandwich.
Weekend visits to Goldbergs is a family tradition. So we typically just give them the benefit of the doubt, chalking it up to “they’re just busy”, or “they just haven’t had time to clean this year”, but today was the tipping point. We won’t make the same mistake again, and recommend that you stay well away from this place to avoid disappointment… no matter how much of a Goldberg loyalist you are (like us).
Here are a couple of photos of burnt bacon (and only two slices in a $12 sandwich), barely any egg whites, my son’s cinnamon bagel with melted/liquid cream cheese (yes, we did ask for a toasted bagel and yes, we did ask for cream cheese on the side, just in case that wasn’t obvious)… and a photo of the filthy refrigerators, floors, ceiling…

Fabulous breakfast and lunch options—I got the overboard sandwich and a side of macaroni salad and they were both delicious. Highly recommend.

My rating is for the bagels. I drive out of my way to get them. The service is great. More of a take-out place but eat my meals there as well. If I got them right out of the oven, that would be great.

I ordered and egg sandwich and a dozen bagels & they charged me $46. After I called they told me to come back and they can return some of the money because they must have overcharged but honestly where are these prices even coming from?? The receipt they gave me doesn’t even have prices on it and I almost wasn’t given the receipt in the first place. I went here because I like the Goldberg’s in Greenport. I won’t be returning
