To say I am disappointed in the wineries in Long Island is an understatement. This is not a judgment of their wines, but of their interaction with the public in general. They advertise wine tasting and being opened. Yet as a visitor to the area, you go in and cannot get any information or interaction from the staff. Out of the four wineries we stopped (5 actual stops, 4 walking into the winery) in only one did we have a pleasant experience. That place was Channing Daughters.I am not going to leave the names of the wineries here, as I don’t know if what I experienced in these few are same in most other wineries. If it is, it isn’t right to call out just the few. I am thinking it is the same for this area, as the last winery we tried before giving up was named winery of the year recently.We have been to other wineries in other states and countries. I have never seen any operated like those here.

If you're not a member or want to check it out, please don't stop here, they have a location on Love Lane in Mattituck where you can try their wine and decide to join. It's worth becoming a member, wine is excellent and prices are very reasonable.
