Loved this shop. Unfortunately, we were just stopping in before going to the aquarium, but it was so good that we stopped by again after the aquarium to get a drink for the drive home. I wish we lived closer. The coffee had great flavor and they had a ton of options for anyone's tastes.

Just found this awesome cafe! Great addition the the area- love an independently owned shop and not a chain outfit. Really cozy, relaxing with couches, tables and bar seating great signature lattes. Special shoutout to staff for my Birthday treat! Highly recommend!

i got overnight oats and they didn’t really taste bad but they did have a carbonated mouthfeel. left me and my boyfriend wondering if it was old or just the way it was supposed to taste little confusing. coffee was good

Very friendly, relaxed atmosphere and staff. Food was as close to mom's home cooking as it gets. This is a new gem in Riverhead. ?
had a really awful experience here. ordered bubble tea and the tapioca was horrible, like the completely wrong texture. It was really hard as if it was either cooked too long or not cooked at all. when I explained it to the barista she looked at me like I was crazy. Then she said, "we're a cafe, not a boba place"... then why have it on the menu?? then she kicked me out at 8:45 when the sign on the door and the hours online say they close at 10. she was just generally unfriendly as well and looked at me like I was offended her by coming into the store before I had even ordered.

I am so so glad I drove over an hour to try Mugs on Main. I was greeted kindly by employees and the owner. I mentioned it was my first time here and the menu and options of food were explained to me. I went all out and got an iced churro latte, a lobster bisque soup and Mac and cheese with added bacon. Everything was outstanding, really flavorful and presented nicely. The vibe of Mugs on Main I really like. There's some bar type seating, high tops, regular tables and comfy seating in back. Something for everyone to be comfortable while enjoying their coffee and meal. I also like there's a good amount of outlets so if I needed to bring my computer I can charge it. Even though I live far away, I will 100 percent be back. Thanks for a great experience :)

Every visit to Mugs brings with it its own unique treat, from its menu, to the welcoming employees. For instance, Jordan never hesitates to offer a warm greeting each time I stop by the cafe. Mary and Cassandra also offered welcome small talk, and condolences, one afternoon, after I just completed a particularly difficult final. Two weeks later, I had the pleasure of running into Cassandra again, who remembered me, right down to my drink order! Delicious meals, an ever-rotating, experimental menu, and a cozy atmosphere--completed by hospitable staff that great you as one would a neighbor--this local shop goes above and beyond its corporate competitors, such as Dunkin and Starbucks. I look forward to seeing its continued success--and its tasty array of new treats--in the coming months. ~Mads

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Just came from an impromptu brunch with Santa and for a little coffee shop, their brunch with Santa was more involved then any other I've been to!! Besides the unlimited specially made latees, coffees, juice boxes and food; They wrote her name on her own personal gift stocking and then after we ate our food, Santa walked over and said "excuse me, Mikayla, I have a gift for you"!!! She was shocked that Santa knew her name and he explained that he knows everyone's name! And then read a story to all the children! It was absolutely precious! So happy I decided to stop in today! They went above and beyond!Besides all of that- their food is delicious and they might have a larger coffee selection then starbucks! I love stopping in there on Saturdays for a BEC croissant and a churro latte!

Love coming here the lattes are delicious. My go to is la Azteca, the deconstructed BEC is delicious, you get a nice homey vibe and the staff is friendly Went there for dinner as well and enjoyed my oven roasted chicken and tater

New favorite stop in Riverhead for excellent coffee. Pleasant atmosphere with cheerful and helpful staff. Ample parking in the back on the waterside with a back entrance if you can't park in the street out front. Worthwhile, stop to check it out for yourself.
