Oh my god. If you’ve ever watched Keith Lee’s food reviews and you know what I’m talking about when I say he takes a bite and his eyes roll back…that is exactly what happened to me when I ate here. I got the Asian rice with ribs and plantain and it was all fantastic. I will be dreaming about those ribs for a long time…or at least until I come back to get more. They were so helpful when I said it was my first time there and explained I can get whatever I wanted and however much of it I wanted. I fear I will be here once a week. Compliments to everybody working there it was so clean. They have a small groceries store in the back if you need any staples.

Stopped by Sabor Latino in Riverhead and had a really good experience! The deli has a nice variety of Latin American dishes, from hot prepared foods to fresh sandwiches and snacks. Everything I tried was flavorful and felt authentic.
The staff were friendly and efficient — even during a busy lunch rush, I didn’t feel ignored or rushed. The space itself is bright and clean, with clear signage and an easy layout for walk-ins. Portions are generous and the prices are fair, making it a great spot for a quick, satisfying meal.
A couple of minor things: the hot food selection was a bit limited when I visited, and the dining area could use a little updating to make it feel even more inviting. Parking on Old Country Rd can also be tight during peak hours, so plan accordingly.
Overall, Sabor Latino is a solid choice if you’re looking for tasty, Latin-inspired deli food in Riverhead. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Hot Food is always good they have a good variety. They also make breakfast/lunch sandwiches and other items like pupusas and tacos or special plates. Hidden gem in Riverhead for a good plate of latin food. Either dine in or take out is very convenient and the staff are all bilingual and very friendly and accommodating. The parking lot is very busy since it's shared with other businesses. The roasted chicken is delicious and always fresh. Portions are generous. Priced right.
