Star Confectionery, a classic old-fashioned luncheonette in Riverhead, has been a local institution for decades. The place is not that big so you may have to wait a bit. The food is delicious, and the service is exceptionally friendly. The French toast, in particular, is outstanding. Breakfast is served until 11:30 am without exception. As an all-cash establishment, Star Confectionery does not accept credit cards, but the prices are fair and reasonable.

Just a super cute place with good charm, vibes and energy. Will go back for chocolate chip and bacon pancakes since my wife didn’t want chocolate chips. Also got an egg white western omelette but the prize is the place and the people working there. God bless the Meras family. Cash only. Closes early.

It is an absolute bummer to have jury duty. But a short walk to Main Street from the Supreme Court brings you to this adorable shop right out of the 1920s. I was so happy to stumble across it. The staff is above and beyond amazing and I’m so happy to have Snuck in a quick egg cream before having to go back to doing my civic duties. I can’t wait to come back here again with my children! I would definitely recommend to a friend.
