Came here the first time I visited Rivehead and now I make sure I leave time to visit each time I come back! I l always order sandwiches because they have not yet disappointed! I've brought my whole family as well as friends here and every single person has LOVED it. The place is family owned and it looks probably a lot like it did when it first opened. So cute and old fashioned. Also, I love their egg creams and their chocolate shakes! Definitely worth ordering. Everything is reasonably priced and just perfectly made. It's just nice to have some simple foods perfectly made! Highly recommend to anyone in town for the day. (Hours are unpredictable so just give them a call before heading over, but honestly it's part of the charm, it's a family place!)

Just a super cute place with good charm, vibes and energy. Will go back for chocolate chip and bacon pancakes since my wife didn’t want chocolate chips. Also got an egg white western omelette but the prize is the place and the people working there. God bless the Meras family. Cash only. Closes early.

Been wanting to stop in here since moving to the North Fork - what an awesome time capsule! Popped in for lunch on a sunny Thursday and it did not disappoint. Reuben was delish and I had it with their great potato salad. My partner enjoyed his BLT with avocado and coleslaw. The onion rings were cooked perfectly. The milkshakes were such a treat and love getting the metal cup with the extra! Friendly staff, quick service, and fun atmosphere. Great spot on Main Street and can't wait to come back for breakfast.

I absolutely love this place!! The service is amazing and they truly make sure that their customers are happy. I came in (too early for lunch) around 1055 am, heading to work and I wanted the hot open roast beef sandwich with gravy. I was going to come back but they made me what i wanted. I recommend this place to everyone, you will not be disappointed.Thank you guys!!

We LOVE the Star Confectionary. Truly a classic style diner with real fountain drinks. Highly recommend the vanilla egg cream or any of the milkshakes. The sandwiches are simple and made just right! If you're in Riverhead this is THE place to go for lunch! Also the ambience is adorable (essentially unchanged since the 1920s) and the customer service is friendly and familial!

Star confectionery is a great local spot. The owner Anthony I believe does most of the cooking himself, talk about quality control, lol! Some say breakfast is breakfast but I disagree they do it very well here and anyone who's had a doughy bad pancake knows what I'm talking about. I'm a big fan of the little sausages and I asked for a dark toasted English muffin and got it that way. I can't tell you all the times I get a soggy half toasted mess. Any way if you want to step back in time this is your place. Enjoy in good health.
