This place has gone downhill. I’m not sure what you can call their bacon and sausage, it’s definitely not real bacon and sausage. The bacon is chewy and unappetizing. The sausage resembles a hamburger patty and doesn’t taste like a sausage at all. The bagel was ok but nothing to write home about.

My bacon egg and cheese was awful. The bagel itself was good but the eggs were runny and my bacon was impossible to chew it was so overcooked. And to top it off the whole sandwich smelled like fish. Not sure why but I couldn’t even finish the other half because of it.

This place used to be my favorite bagel spot. When I went away to college, I always looked forward to coming home and getting a bagel from here. Previously, I would’ve given it 5/5 stars. Since the new ownership the place has gone downhill. The workers seem depressed and are rude, the bagels are garbage now, and all of the old decorations are gone which used to give the place character. I’ve tried it a couple of times after the new owner took over to give it a fair chance of improving however, it didn’t improve. This is very upsetting and I hope the new owners actually read these reviews to know that they aren’t living up to what Strathmore Bagels used to be.

Went this morning they had like no bagels available. We asked how long they said 7 minutes which ended up being over 20 minutes . They did t even offer a cup of coffee or any free bagels for the very long wait . Very unpleasant experience and would not go again . How does a bagel store not have any bagels at 11 am ? I have worked for several bagel stores and I have always offered at least a free cup of coffee while waiting.

If I could give a negative 5 I would. Since the new owners took over a few months ago the food has been nothing but absolute garbage. Not only have they gone down in quality and extremely high in pricing, but today after giving them the third and final try, we received rancid egg salad and got violently ill. What an absolute disgrace. We have been patrons of the deli for many years and now I will never go back. Highly not recommended.

Stopped by since the new owners took over. The bagels were soft and fresh. The scallion cream cheese was so good we took extra home. Everyone is so polite and accommodating. We hope to come back soon. Love the new service & food!
