I love this place, they always make great food, there pastries are amazing and they don't waste food, went in one day and they were give free bread to people who spent over $30. The staff is always friendly and never makes me and my partner feel rushed. I do wish they had a sweetened ice tea but not necessary everything over tried there is so good. I'm also a vegetarian and they give me no issues with substitute wish I appreciate. They are a 10 out of 10 if you ask me❤️❤️.

Went in at 10:30 to get an ice coffee. Paid $5 and was give Hot coffee that was watered down. Not iced coffee. Bunch of “chefs” walking around with toques. Mise en place. If you can’t get cold coffee down you shouldn’t be “teaching culinary arts”. Lady who gave my refund had an attitude
Won’t be going back

Very nice store with a variety of products and friendly service. Unfortunately, I'm giving the cinnamon roll I ordered a 1-star rating. The blueberry roll was better. Sorry, guys, but you have to put in a little effort.

What a great experience my group of 24 Aquaerobic Students had at our luncheon. The salads were fresh and absolutely delicious. The baker's workshop had a variety of desserts to purchase for my daughter's birthday. I highly recommend this culinary arts center!! Thank you Michael Tillman for setting it up!
It was my third time there and every meal was perfect. The service is excellent. I got my birthday cake which was a flour-less chocolate cake with beautiful chocolate flowers on top. In fact I bought two since the price was so reasonable. This is an undiscovered jem located downtown Riverhead.
This is such a treasure! Imagine you can sample healthy breakfasts and lunches prepared by expert chefs for a reasonable price. Since discovering The Baker’s Workshop two months ago, I have been back on four occasions. My only disappointment is that they only serve breakfast and lunch, and not dinner. It is a culinary teaching program, and they have limited hours. Their Spring 2025 semester is closing soon on May 15, 2025. It is open Monday to Friday, 8:30 A.M. to 3 P.M. Breakfast is served from 8:30 am to 10:30 am Lunch from 9 am to 2 pm. Twenty-four of us had our monthly luncheon there in April. Everyone raved about their order, and many have been back since bringing their friends. Downtown Riverhead is welcoming to shoppers with ample free municipal parking and increased security. The facility is accessible through the rear door adjacent to the Municipal lot behind 20 Main Street. Our group asked to come back in May. The staff is friendly, the food terrific, and the facility clean. If you walk towards the rear entrance, you will see students working with their teachers. The entire kitchen is on view. Once you place your order, you can wait in the adjacent room looking over Main Street. Staff will bring your order to your table. I failed to mention their selection of desserts and gelato. Not all cakes are available daily since the students learn to bake specific cakes as part of the curriculum. They make a flourless chocolate cake, which is amazing. Their days of operation follow the schedule of Suffolk County Community College.

The bakers workshop allows students of Suffolk County community college culinary arts to gain hands-on experience and gate baking. This was excellent

To begin this is a teaching kitchen, students are lead by instructors and taught how to run a business. That being said the food they put out has been given all the effort and attention it requires. The specials they have are unbeatable for the quality and amount of food that you get.I recommend going and giving it a try.

A very nice place for a quick lunch. Their Germanchocolate cheesecake was phenomenal. Raves from my guest. Their hours need to be upgraded. The site states it closes at 3:00 however they stop serving lunch at 2:00 when i arrived at 2:05. They also started cleaning up so the pastries were moved around making it difficult to see what was left. Otherwise I highly recommend. The school hosts a special luncheon a few times a year. This gives students hands on experience from food prep to wait service and cleanup. I love attending. Limited seating. Three course meal is excellent. Service very attentive. This part is five stars.
I have only had baked goods, and they are always excellent..
