The food was excellent and so was the service. I will be sure to go there anytime I'm in this area. The babaganous was different from what I usually have had,but was okay. That was the only thing I would rate as just okay. Everything else was excellent!

Food and service were both excellent! Large portions. Great presentation! Overall, I'd definitely eat here again.

Love the indoor or outdoor seating option.

Lovely little place with outdoor seating alongside the river. Turkish music being piped softly overhead. Nice ambiance generally. Issue was with the food. I ordered kofte, well done. It arrived pink inside. I returned it asking for it to be cooked longer. It came out only slightly less pink but still pink. I ate one small piece out of 4 and took rest home to cook myself. The bulgur was flavorful as was the beet salad, but portions were quite small for price. My husband ordered the Adana kebab and got one skewer. Most places give you two. The falafel for appetizer we ordered was also flavorful but over cooked so that the crust was hard.

The food is extremely good and I can’t provide any negative comment surrounding taste. However, the service is extremely slow. I’ve been here a few times now and the main dishes take on average 40-45 minutes to reach the table. The restaurant seems to be entirely staffed, so I am not sure where the issues stem from regarding timing.

We were visiting from Greenville, South Carolina, and decided to stop in after noticing it was already busy for 4 PM. That alone told us it had to be good, and it absolutely was. The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The service was warm, attentive, and welcoming. On top of that, the restaurant has a wonderful view of the water, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

Definitely a five-star spot—we’ll be back the next time we’re in town!

Turkuaz Grill is such a lovely place with a wonderful staff!

Since I am often on the go I love
to stop by and get some delicious food to go. My favorite meals are the Turkish Cigars and Mediterranean salad with chicken!

They have so many dishes to pick from so check out the menu before you go there and enjoy!

I also love the location as it’s very serene. 🌊

The staff was absolutely fantastic! The food was great! The atmosphere was amazing! If you haven't tried Turkish food, you should. (One of the kids got the chicken strips, and they were the best I've ever had!) This place is a must if you're in the area! Highly recommend!

This was not our 1st time here. The hummus is delicious! I had the lamb skewer 'wrap' which was a pita, the lamb was perfectly cooked. My husband had the falafel wrap which brought back happy memories for
him. Delicious and family run.

Service was not good, we were seated outside quickly and given menus but once seated - the staff just milled around, no one came to take our order. We had to flag someone down after waiting about 10-15 min. Once ordered, food took about 25 min to come out. We felt that tables who ordered after us got their food first. Bit odd. No one checked in on us during the meal - they refilled water for the table next to us but never offered us a refill. We had to flag someone down for the check - and that also took them a while to then bring it. We had to flag someone down for everything. Food was ok. We had come here 11 year ago and don’t remember the service being this terrible or we wouldn’t have gone back.

Found this online when I was searching for dining options in Riverhead, it had been some time since I last had Turkish food so decided to try it out, overall it was a fine experience, the food was good, though we only ordered some basics, babaganoush, falafel, and chicken shish kebab, the falafel came with hummus so was able to try that as well

The babaganoush was well made and had a hint of smokiness, paired with the warm pita bread slices it made for a good start, the falafel and chicken shish kebab was also well made though the shell on the falafel could have been better if just a bit less crunchy, I'm accustomed to the more round falafels while theirs is flatter and more oblong, the chicken shish kebab was overall well made with a nice char and reasonably juicy chunks of chicken meat

The only thing I would really dock them for would be service and atmosphere, to be clear, the service wasn't bad, it was just a bit slow and a couple members of the staff had thicker accents so it made communication at times a bit more difficult, they also apparently have a policy of not seating parties of just two people at the picnic style bench tables in the yard, I could understand if this was during more busy periods where larger groups were coming but when we got there it wasn't very busy so I was a bit unhappy about having to sit inside when there were empty picnic tables outside, the inside was ok but it would have been better if the background music was set to a lower volume, it wasn't loud but was the volume was just high enough to be distracting

They take credit cards but charge a 3% fee for such transactions, I assume to cover the merchant fees, so I would recommend bring cash, overall it was pretty good for $75 after tax and tips and we walked out very full, the walk along the river bank made for a much needed post-meal stroll
