We all enjoyed our meals and drinks-I believe it was a bit pricey though. They could use some artwork and color to warm up the place ...it's kind of a sterile atmosphere. Overall, we enjoyed it and would return.

To expensive, bring your bank account. I don't care how good the food is who's making it. To much money and you got to throw a tip on top of dinner

Excellent place with fantastic food. We celebrated a birthday and are planning to have many more celebrations in this great place. The food was fabulous, from appetizers to main course and on to dessert. We can't wait for our next celebration ?

Just not good. Duck dish had good flavor, but was served with no veg and a sauce that - if it didn't come from a bottle sure approximated it. Shrimp cocktail felt like it had been refrigerated for days - dry and mealy. Service was well-meaning, but amateurish - no idea about the wines. Décor felt tired. Just not good enough to be 'the best restaurant' in any town.

Pleasant surprise. Great food, a little pricey for the area but a quality restaurant. We need more places like these around. Great for a special occasion.

We had a fantastic supper - filet and tuna - with a cost to reflect the quality. The food was amazing, and the prices reflected this. The wine was excellent. We loved the table linens and the attentive service. However, we were a bit off by the mandated 20% tip. When did a tip become dictated? What happened to the variable tip, especially when the meal prices are higher? We would have appreciated being able to use our standards to tip according to the quality of service. We would return here, knowing all this, if we wanted a quality, fine dining experience. There is no better food! But we would dress a step up from fishing clothing next time.

I made made reservations for Mothers Day. When we arrived we were sat right away and the waiter was prompt and courteous. We found out the menu for the day was tailored for Mothers Day and had less options than their usual menu. I could see how the menu would be confusing, in fact when we arrived another guest was complaining to the manager because the bill was more than he expected as he did not fully understand the menu but we made sure to ask the waiter and he explained it to us nicely so there was no confusion. We had mozzarella caprese, Asian short ribs and the calamari to start. The Asia short ribs had good flavor, the mozzarella caprese was forgettable and the calamari was soggy. We all ordered the two steak meal, two of us had the steak fries while one of us ordered mash potatoes. The steak fries were bland and without seasoning, while the steaks were the size of silver dollars and lacked flavor. For dessert we had the chocolate mousse and creme brulee which were fine. Overall for the $200 spent, I can honestly say I did not feel it was worth the money as we left still hungry and ended up getting other food directly after we left. I'd also like to add that the fact the menu was changed for Mothers day but didn't include anything for children seemed to be a oversight. I would not recommend this restaurant.

The food especially the calamari tasted like it was frozen. The service is horrible. The entire menu is overpriced. Don’t waste your money.

Love love love Bernie’s holiday! We’ve been several times (always on special occasions- it’s a special place!) and always had a great experience. Their oysters and they surf & terf are my favorites. We also ordered their Thanksgiving dinner takeout and were truly blown away by the quality (and QUANTITY - good god) of the food. The *only* negative is that the cocktails haven’t been good - seltzer instead of tonic in a gin and tonic, super sour cosmo - so we‘ll stick with wine and beer moving forward!

I recently rediscovered Bernie's. We used to go for special occasions in the bungalow colony days. It's still really good! Large portions, amazing bread and great service. I look forward to going back. It's a little pricey but worth it.
