Aperitif Bistro Wine Bar

Waited 90 minutes for our appetizer. Manager claimed the printer broke so the chef couldn't see our order. After our appetizers finally came out, we were told they were out of a dish we had ordered for our entree. Food came out "rushed" but also undercooked. Waitress did her best and hussled but overall a disappointing experience. Will not return.

We had a 5:30 reservation on a Saturday, so it wasn't crowded when we arrived. Around 6:30 a party of 6 and another party of 8 came in. The host sat all the tables far enough apart. The food was excellent! I had the escargot and duck and my husband had the arugula salad and the veal chop special. Both meals were delicious. Service was attentive without being rushed. I would definitely recommend!

As usual, Aperitif didn't disappoint. All four of us enjoyed our meal. They have wonderful salads and soups as well as excellent entree's. The service was a little slow but the place was packed, so I'll excuse it. Normally, the service is excellent. We will be back.

This was my first time here. It was a girls night out and we all enjoyed it. The service was great, the food was great, and the restaurant was clean and inviting. We will definitely be back!

We dined at Aperitif Bistro last night (2/16/26 around 7:00PM). We were expecting it to be very busy, since it was a holiday and also the Monday after Valentine’s Day weekend. But it was surprisingly slow. We were perfectly fine with that, as we wanted to have a nice quiet evening. Our server was Jamal and as many of the previous reviews state, he was very nice. I can see why everyone wants to have him as their server. For drinks, we ordered the Aperitif Martini and a Shirley Temple. Both were very good, and my husband, who loves Shirley Temples and orders them everywhere we go, said that his tasted much better than other places we’ve been to. For appetizers, we ordered the escargot and risotto fritters. They were delicious! For our entrees, we ordered the Coq Au Vin Blanc and Fricassee of Scallops. Both were very good. I think the scallops would’ve gone fine with just the truffle cream sauce, it was so good! The butternut squash puree was also good. The leeks were okay (I’m just not a fan of leeks). Both dishes were delicious, I’d definitely recommend them both. It was kind of difficult finding a good French restaurant and we’re so happy to have found Aperitif Bistro. They share the same owners as Sage Bistro in Woodbury (which was actually my second choice). We can’t wait to dine here again.

We are regular customers here but this night was extremely. busy (Valentine's Day) and I think they didn't have enough wait staff so didn't really get much attention . Food however was very good as usual.

The best kept secret in all of Long Island. You escape to a Paris Bistro with the best food, wine, bread & yummy butter and service that is BON❤️

Service ws awful. Went for restaurant week and they didn't even take our drink order until 45 minutes of us sitting there. When we said we were also ready to order the waiter said drinks only. Took an additional 20 minutes before we got our drinks and was able to order our food. Overall the food was very good but due to the poor service I'll never be returning here.

Great local spot, we live sitting at the bar. The apps are amazing. Rice balls are amazing so is the prosciutto flatbread. Valet parking on the weekends makes it all worthwhile.

Excellent service: food is always delicious as are the cocktails. Wonderful French restaurant in the heard of Rockville Centre.
