They were closed! I made a reservation to bring two business clients there because I used to love it several years ago. It was frustrating, inconvenient & embarrassing when we walked up to find it closed. It was 2:30 on a Wednesday & the website states they're open. I made the reservation a week in advance so there was plenty of time for someone to contact me to let me know they would be closed. The last time I went, about 3 years ago, the service wasn't great but I love the atmosphere & food so decided to try it again but I guess that was the last time.

Great time celebrating with my mother and sisters for brunch! The mushroom and spinach crepe was absolutely fabulous.

Good local restaurant. We usually go there for the fish and chips but other selections are also very good.

Our experience was excellent. Made reservations for 4 people and needed a table for 5. I tried contacting the place via open table and then calling and had no answer so we took a chance coming in with 5 people and they were able to accommodate us. We got 2 large pots of tea for 5 people. One pot is good enough if you only want one cup each. The food was good. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Their scones are amazing! Fresh out the oven, they were warm! The bill had a 20% service charge for 5 people. It is a little expensive but what isn't these days? The decor was so pretty. It's a small place so I do recommend making a reservation. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. They accommodated my party needs and food/tea was delicious. I will definitely be back.

Hostess terrible, food all pastries taste the same (same filling), sandwiches all the same bread (boring) attire of staff sloppy.

We ate at this restaurant about a month ago and when we received our bill at the end of a delicious meal with wonderful service we were charged different prices than were posted in the menu. When we asked the server about it, she said that they had changed the prices they're charging and there was nothing she could do about it. We insisted that they could not charge us prices different from what was in the menu. After much discussion she finally relented and gave us a small discount off the price, as a courtesy, she said. Before we went back this week, I called and found out that the menu had been revised and was told it had the correct prices on it. Once again when we got the check, the prices we were charged were different from what was in the menu. When we spoke with the server, she said that the only thing she could figure out was that they were charging us 4% more because of the use of a credit card. At this point, they had no idea whether we were using cash or a credit card so that reasoning doesn't even make sense. You can't charge us a different price for items on the menu, we said. You can add on a fee for using a credit card, but you can't charge us a different price for the food than is on the menu. After much conversation and our insistance, the server finally relented and gave us a 10% discount.

This is my favorite place for special occasions or just meeting up with friends. I am never disappointed. The food is amazing, the portion sizes big and the service is professional and friendly.

Such a charming spot! We had the afternoon tea — everything was beautifully presented, the desserts were delicious, and the tea was freshly brewed. You can really feel the attention to detail. A perfect place for a cozy catch-up with friends.

I've been coming to Chat Noir for years and it's been pretty consistent as the food and service is wonderful. The only concern is the increased price on scones. I think $19 is a stretch and my scones weren't even warm like in the past. Moving forward, I will just stick with the meal instead unless they reduce the price of the scones.

It's been a long time since we were there. It is such a pretty place and transforms you to a Parisian vibe. Menu had many choices and priced just right. Salad portions are plentiful,we shared. Fish and chips were perfectly cooked. Chips were many. My husband had a signature pasta dish it was good as well. Service was a bit sporadic. Initially water was served when we arrived but not poured again after a long time. We sat with plates finished for a while ... servers were inattentive. We will be back sooner than last time ... I'm sure service will improve.

Chat Noir is an enjoyable and favorite place to eat- delicious food, lovely atmosphere and kind service.

I love to go to Chat Noir. The atmosphere is so relaxed and just what I imagined a "tea room" would be. Had the chicken pot pie. So good.

Be careful to ask about pricing before you order. The menus are very old, and in some cases, the prices are 80% higher than listed on the menu. Our waitress failed to tell us this when we ordered. While the food is delicious and the ambiance is very nice, $32 for a turkey sandwich on a croissant is way too much above a reasonable price. However, in good faith, the restaurant's manager refunded us the difference since we were not informed ahead of time.
