This place is seriously overrated. If you enjoy stuck-up, out dated dining, where you're made to feel unwelcome and the food is subpar, head over. No, thanks. Also, my bolognese pasta dish was disgusting.

While I have great respect for the restaurant staff, I believe management/owner, Paul, should uphold a standard of courtesy and professionalism toward its clients.
If there is a minimum order policy, it should be clearly communicated upfront. The way we were treated today was highly disrespectful, and I have no intention of returning to this place.

A real feel of home Italian cooking. Service is exceptional and the restaurant is quite elegant with a cozy feeling. The food was prepared authentically and the taste of each meal was outstanding.

Excellent Italian in a very competitive restaurant scence in Rockville Center. Been there for decades and it is a local gem. The food is awesome but I do not like that they do not give pasta with an entree but rather give mashed potatoes. Pasta can be ordered ala carte. A little silly if you ask me but those are the rules. They close promply at 9pm and last order taken is at 830pm so be aware of that. Excellent wine list. Amarone choices are great.

No sign posted anywhere that says they close for 2.5 hours from 2:30-5… waited for parking & fed the meter only to have to find another place to eat, highly disappointing.Sign should be posted explaining the mid-day closure.

Dario's Italian Restaurant captures the essence of a classic, old-school Northern Italian dining experience. The ambiance is cozy and imbued with a traditional charm, setting the stage for their time-honored Italian dishes. The menu features classic recipes with high-quality, imported Italian pasta, ensuring an authentic taste of Northern Italy. The service is as commendable as the cuisine, with a friendly and knowledgeable staff enhancing the nostalgic and enjoyable atmosphere. Dario's is a perfect choice for those who cherish the simplicity and charm of traditional Italian cuisine.

A must visit whenever I visit Long Island. You always get off to a great start with me when you bring out a basket of garlic bread. I typically split a Caesar Salad before ordering the excellent Veal Parmigiana cutlet along with a side of penne with the flavorful red sauce. The staff is highly professional and the meal is reasonably priced for the caliber of food you receive—on par with Manhattan restaurants.

The restaurant had a good crowd especially for a Monday night. Ordered the Rigatoni Filetto di Pomodoro and it was delicious. I couldn’t finish the dish as we also ordered their onion soup and Cold Antipasto. I had the leftover pasta to go and it was still delicious the next day. I got the crème brûlée for dessert.
