the service with the waiters was fine, however the environment of the restaurant was very uncomfortable because the music was very loud and i was unable to have a conversation with my company. and the food, it was ok but then i was very turn off from the food because i received some soggy rice and bbq wings that had a very questionable taste to them.

It you want a real taste of authentic Jamaican cuisine, you must come to Dunns River in Rockville Centre. The curry chicken is super good and the rice ? is on point. I would give 6 stars if I could!!!

Perhaps better in the summer time if there is outdoor space to help with seating etc. Overall, I had a great time, the music was lively and the energy of the staff and DJ was refreshing. I didn't like the fact that you don't get an actual receipt while dining at the tables (you do get one at the bar). So it's difficult to analyze what you're being charged. The fact that gratuity was included was not disclosed so you could tip twice if that wasn't your intention.

Just had early dinner at Dunn's river and the food was a delight. Usually it's packed but it wasn't too bad there today. I have to shout out our waitress/bartender. I asked her name and she said Calicia, but surprisingly she reciprocated by inquiring my name also. She was pleasant, engaging and friendly while serving our orders and drinks. It's not often when going out now you get "old school" hospitality and I did tell her she was a breath of fresh air. So thank you again, Calicia !

My wife and I were celebrating our 12th wedding anniversary and the vibes were nice and food good. They played the "It's Your Anniversary" song and brought out the flaming candle with cake for us to help make it all feel special. Our two children were there with us too so the value for the 4 of us to get stuffed was good as well. Definitely wanted to celebrate Black Love by supporting a Black-owned restaurant. Thanks for the positive vibes Dunns River Lounge!

A few friends and I came to celebrate a friend's birthday. This wasn't my first time there, but it my party's first time. Everyone enjoyed everything, the food, the ambience. Calisia (sp) was attentive, and took care of everything perfectly. My friend got the rum punch, she thought it was too sweet (sticky), but I got a margarita and it was great. The foooood! Succluent and devine! LOL! Portion sizes were what you would expect and slight above expectations. Especially in this pre-COVID era where many restaurants are raising prices and reducing what's on the plate. We traveled from Suffolk County and I would do it again!

All for about $40+|person which is middle of the road reasonably priced considering it comes with live entertainmentTopped off with your choice of mimosas that were absolutely refreshing with unlimited re-fills. I highly recommend the Sorrel mimosa or the pineapple ginger juice ??? The live reggae music was exceptional by DJ the realjbuzz?? Talent overload. There is a 2 hour maximum which was more than enough time to tap our feet wihile enjoying scrumptious eats. Reservations are a must.
