My first time there and not bad at all. A family suggested to go and I went right away??♀️. Atmosphere definitely smooth and service was great but it’s all about the food for me. It’s was delicious ? and wanted more food to take home lol. Hubby and I enjoyed and ate tasty ? food. Can’t wait to go back to try different things. Thank you Hans D for great service?

Don’t waste your time!!!! Came in and at no point were we addressed, finally a lady asked with an attitude if we wanted a table. Got seated and had to wait another 15 minutes before someone acknowledged us!!! Had a mojito that tasted like pure seltzer water, when I told the waitress, she said I would still have to pay for it because I took a sip ?… overall, I could only give compliments to the plantain cup shrimp appetizer. The staff is rude, the food isn’t all that and the drinks suck!! I don’t mind spending money but at least give me quality. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Take your money elsewhere

Nice vibes, good drinks but the food is absolutely horrible… No seasoning, No Flavor…they had an array of hot sauces but that did not help. There is no substitute for fresh herbs and spices. If you’re looking for authentic Caribbean Food Grotto IS NOT the place!!!! Drive around the corner to Park Ave and go to Dunns River….

The restaurant is nice and spacious with good music and our waitress was great. The food on the other hand was quite expensive for what we ordered, the salmon said coconut curry and had not taste and look of neither, the rice and peas smelled burned, and we ordered side fried plantains which were undercooked and small for the price. I was very disappointed in the meal, it could have been better.

This place was truly a gem of a find. The decor, the music, the food, the drinks and the vibe. Kim was our server and she was so attentive and friendly. We did have an issue with our bill because we used multiple cards and cash. Maribel who is one of the owners personally corrected our tab. Not only did she apologize, she sat with us to go over it and compare receipts to make sure it was correct. Everything was amazing and I will definitely be back frequently.

Had a very enjoyable dinner with a friend tonight at the Grotto. I had Rasta pasta with shrimp which was creamy and delicious. My friend had the catch of the day, parrot fish, she had it escoveitch style and said it was very good! I like the vibe and the music in the restaurant too. The owner, Mirabel and her husband were very gracious and quite pleasant. Our food took a little while to come out and Mirabel explained what had happened and she made up for it by giving us 2 drinks on the house. We will definitely return again and bring more of our friends. The slow service is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.

We had our daughter's Sweet 16 dinner here. The experience was amazing! The staff went above and beyond to make her day special. They made us feel like giving her an unforgettable experience was personal for them. The ambiance was beautiful and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back in the near future. The place is unprofessional. Did not live up to the hype. Ordered over the phone and was told they didn't have most of what I called for. I placed my order Saturday nite. Paid in full and got home and saw 2 entrees missing. I called asked for those items to be refunded and was hung up on. Food was OK. DUNNS RIVER DOWN THE BLOCK MAKES THIS PLACE TASTE LIKE MCDONALD'S. it is Thursday still no refund. Had to call my bnk to get it. The Spanish women behind the bar I think is the boss but she's over matched. Save ya $ save ya time n eat some place else

It’s everything for me at Grotto!The hospitality from Marivel and her staff is beyond the word itself.The restaurant is spacious,clean,the music was good(not loud) and the food and drinks were greattttt.
Stoped in after the train just to check it out and was very surprised! It has a slightly club vibe and a super friendly staff! Drinks were amazing and only got some appetizers. Conch fritters and Caribbean egg rolls were unreal! Stop in for a holiday drink at the bar!
