My first time there and not bad at all. A family suggested to go and I went right away??♀️. Atmosphere definitely smooth and service was great but it’s all about the food for me. It’s was delicious ? and wanted more food to take home lol. Hubby and I enjoyed and ate tasty ? food. Can’t wait to go back to try different things. Thank you Hans D for great service?

Saturday night at Grotto for drinks and apps was cool. This spot has a nice atmosphere, modern decor, and friendly staff. For drinks we had a Mango passion fruit mule ($15) and for the appetizers we ordered the j*** chicken spring rolls (so good we ordered a second, but also because the portions are small, too small for the price) and curry chicken dumplings. The dumplings were ok, but def won't order them again. They didn't have enough meat in it to even know there was curry chicken in it. It wasn't crowded this visit which was just fine for me and the music was a vibe. Overall, I had a good time and will return to check out their brunch.

Great food and very accommodating for my large group. Grotto went above and beyond for our group. I loved the shrimp plantain cups. We had an amazing time and I will definitely return.

This place is big and but the service sucks.. only 3 people working.. we asked for more drinks and the waiters that was making the drink said she didn't wanna make more drinks.. but we waited 2 hours for the food.. the food was rubbery I have the Caribbean surf and turf and the appetizer which was buffalo wing ... you can tell it was microwaved.. and the j*** shrimp was drenched in j*** sauce. I would recommend this place at all

Don’t waste your time!!!! Came in and at no point were we addressed, finally a lady asked with an attitude if we wanted a table. Got seated and had to wait another 15 minutes before someone acknowledged us!!! Had a mojito that tasted like pure seltzer water, when I told the waitress, she said I would still have to pay for it because I took a sip ?… overall, I could only give compliments to the plantain cup shrimp appetizer. The staff is rude, the food isn’t all that and the drinks suck!! I don’t mind spending money but at least give me quality. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Take your money elsewhere

The place is nice, the staff was great, nice and welcoming. The only negative which is a big one it took over an hour to get our meals. Right before The food came out I asked for it to be packed for take out because I was tired of waiting. I honestly think it's just because it was under staffed in the kitchen. If you just want a place to chill and get good drinks then go here but if you come here hungry that's not the place for you. They said it was just cause we ordered fish but I order fish from other places and it didn't take as long. And I really feel bad for saying that because the staff was sooooooo nice and continuously checked on us. I doubt I will be going back there tho.

I really wanted to like this place. I was excited there was a Caribbean place in the area. We went to have dinner on a Friday night and it was not packed at all. It took 2 hours for dinner. The staff could use some retraining on hospitality. There were a lot of things that needed to be corrected. Very slow service and automatic gratuity added for 2 people is ridiculous. Especially when the service is not deserving of that. The drinks and music Were good which is why I gave the place 2 stars. Other than that there are plenty of other better places around.

Beautiful space.. great music... food tasteless, extremely small portions for the price.. service horrible.. waiters tend to the bar and ignore the tables.. I won't be back. A total waste of time and money.

Nice vibes, good drinks but the food is absolutely horrible… No seasoning, No Flavor…they had an array of hot sauces but that did not help. There is no substitute for fresh herbs and spices. If you’re looking for authentic Caribbean Food Grotto IS NOT the place!!!! Drive around the corner to Park Ave and go to Dunns River….

The restaurant is nice and spacious with good music and our waitress was great. The food on the other hand was quite expensive for what we ordered, the salmon said coconut curry and had not taste and look of neither, the rice and peas smelled burned, and we ordered side fried plantains which were undercooked and small for the price. I was very disappointed in the meal, it could have been better.

The host and waitress are nice and apologetic. Customer service is one thing but I got there minutes to 8pm a party came in after we was seated . They was served their appetizers and entrees before my party of 4 : we was told because they have a prefixed meal . Confused on that . However the young lady who was serving us was still apologetic and serves us with a smile good came out and was too salty the only side you can have is rice so all I had was fish because I took rice out my diet . That's find but we didn't get our food until after 9 Smdh love to support new business but you need to acknowledge your customers . I asked for the manager and I as told he's too busy .

My first experience was a great one. I gave three stars because my second experience was not good. It was a Sunday evening and there was only ONE server for the whole restaurant so the service was extremely slow. My first time there was a Friday night and the bartender was good, drinks and food were great. My advice, don't go on a Sunday.
