Mcdonald's in my opinion has made a huge mistake. The sunrise highway Rockville Centre location has totally changed. They closed for weeks to do a total renovation. It was not for the better. They took a very comfortable atmosphere that was pleasant to sit in and made an austere ,cold, miserable place. As per Mcdonald's new policy the drink fountain is gone. Very poor corporate choice. Stopped into this McD's to get a quick meal. The drive-through was busy. The lot seemed full. Went inside to get my meal and was greeted by the manager who took our order and made our meal. I'm not sure if they were understaffed, but our food was hot, and the customers didn't wait long.I feel that when a manager gets their hands dirty and in the grind with their employees, the employees tend to step up and work hard to support the manager and get the job done. I ordered ahead here for curbside pick up. It was the longest wait ever!! Perhaps I got there at a busy time because it is off the highway... but the lady next to me actually went inside to get her 3 kids meals. Perhaps this is why the employee followed her out with our mealsThe food was cold and felt reheated. I was disappointed. I'll give them another try at a different time and see if they do better!
