The owner was super friendly and it is clear he takes pride in his food. Unfortunately our cheese and pepperoni pie was just so soggy / limp on the bottom. Even when heating up the leftovers the next day there was no crispness at all. It was very cheesy but maybe that caused too much oil. I heard great things about the garlic knots and while they were good (and I must add some extras were given on the house which was very nice) I guess we prefer a little more punch of garlic. I like their unique shape though. Would maybe come back to try some of their meals or ask for a slice well done.

When MK was in Cedarhurst, I got takeout from them twice a month. I had no idea they had relocated to Rockville Centre (which I recently did) The Italian American food is just as fantastic as ever. Glenn, the Owner/Chef is a great guy and very generous, as he always was. One of the few places that can actually make eggplant Parm correctly. He included a side of pasta, bean salad, amazing garlic knots and a piece of chocolate cake. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Great, small family run business. Thankfully, they do their own delivery.

I'm a pain in the nuts with reviews . I only write them unless it's warranted. This is my 1st . Mother Kelly's Creamed Spinach Slice is as good as they get . I'm a real foodie. It's legit . If you say it isn't I would never listen to a recommendation from you .

I actually worked here about 15 years ago when I was in college and the food has been consistently good. My favorite thing is the garlic knots, dipped in their creamy Italian dressing. Definitely would recommend. Especially the Balsamic Chicken and the Hot/Cold salad.

I've been going to Mother Kelly's for at least 20 years. It is always delicious and Glenn is kind and makes you feel like family. I've tried many of the dishes on the menu. My favorites include the penne ala vodka, Glenn salad, chicken parmigiana, eggplant parmigiana, shrimp marinara and balsamic chicken. The portions are very generously sized. They can easily feed two people, with leftovers. They give you garlic knots and bean salad in balsamic dressing with your order. I normally get an order of sautéed spinach as well which is very garlicky and is topped with breadcrumbs. The next time you are looking for Italian takeout in RVC, head over to Maple Avenue and go to Mother Kelly's.

Mother Kelly's is the best Italian take out food place. The portions are tremendous, the food is excellent! They often throw in little extras like bean salad or dessert. I highly recommend! The prices can be a little high, but 1 entree is often enough for 2 or 3 people.

Also huge are the amazing personalities and hospitality of the owners and people who work there. I highly recommend this restaurant and promise you that you won't be disappointed. Thanks Matt! My brother bought us some pizza as a moving in gift to welcome us to the area from Queens. He got us their regular and a grandma pie. Both were good, but that Grandma Pizza is crazy good! We've gotten it several times since then. In Queens we tried over a dozen great pizza places and couldn't pick a favorite. We will still be trying the other pizza places in the area, but Mother Kelly's has jumped out to an early and commanding lead. They are also really generous with the garlic knots!

God walked me through the entire process from start to finish, which was a HUGE plus! They made the entire process so easy and hassle-free! I’m very impressed! This place doesn't look like much but I've been all over the world and the US. Never had better galic knots and pizza in my whole life. Unbelievable. Will never forget how amazing the food was and the hospitable the staff was to me and my friends. Must go if you're in the area. Try the cookies too. So good.

I stopped by here to see how their pizza is and I have no complaints. My favorite part was the garlic knots. They were fresh and soft. Not too salty. Just perfect. I left the pizza for my 4 year old and he ate every single piece including the crust so I was shocked. I will be back for some pasta dishes. There's no indoor seating because it's not big enough for that but who cares. Their customer service was good too. I will be back. Thank you guys.
