The Flour Shoppe Cafe

Only reason I miss working in RVC Is because now I Can't get Cheddar Grits all of the time. This Cafe is the best!

The food was good service mediocre. My issue is that the food was good I got full quickly and wanted to take the rest home. I could do do that because I found a little net bug in the food. When I ask for a manager none on duty. Then asked for a owner the young man went to look and never came back. Then when I asked they say they dont think a manager was her. Then tell me that they will let them know. How are your going to do that when you did not ask for my name and number. Like I said food was good I didn't mind paying however after that everything was lost in translation

Today my father and I ate at the Flour Shoppe at 41 S. Park Avenue and it was a huge disappointment and horrible start to our morning. This is not my first time at the Flour shoppe, I used to frequent the prior location on Sunrise Hwy. The pancakes weren't cooked. They were raw and burnt on the outside, which likely means the heat was too high. We sent it back, ordered another pancake and it still was not cooked properly. The bacon soggy and extra oily. My turkey sausage was raw, not fully cooked and was still pink. I assume it must have been a new chef or the chef was having a bad morning. The whole experience was terrible. The server Allen W tried his best to satisfy us, however the whole experience was an instant fail. This used to be one of my favorite breakfast spots but this experience has changed that for me. After still paying the bill at the Flour shoppe we ended up going to IHOP after because we were still hungry.

It’s been a favorite spot since they opened on sunrise and even more so now. The owners are very kind and friendly.

I don’t usually write reviews but this was the worst breakfast I’ve ever had to the point where i can’t stop thinking about how bad it was. I got the egg white turkey sausage burrito and my husband got a turkey sausage egg and cheese on a roll. First of all i don’t know what type of turkey sausage that was because it tasted like cheap meat and had no flavor. Nothing like sausage at all. Better off going to ihop or a diner you’ll get a better breakfast there

Had breakfast and coffee was pretty good. Ordered the salad, vegetarian omelet.

In NY for business and I was lucky enough to be close by when I searched breakfast I found this cafe, there was parking behind the cafe (for a fee, I paid a dollar, which was plenty of time) walking up there was a cute little area to sit outside and I was already excited to go in. The service was stellar, they seemed to work as a team. The FOOD , delicious. My breakfast sandwich was served with a little side salad and the tastiest balsamic vinaigrette + my honey lavender latte was perfect. Great way to start our day before an important meeting.

This place was awful. I don’t know where to begin at first we were told it would be a 15 minute wait for a party of six we sat at the bar for 30 minutes and was ignored while we ordered coffee then we finally got seated after an hour. After being seated, the waiter came over, gave us water and took our order . We sat there for another 30 minutes with the kids being hungry the waiter then brought over a bowl of chips for breakfast. We were told the food would take five more minutes. Keep in mind we are already waited 30 minutes at the bar an hour before getting seated and again another 30 minutes, sitting at the table management never came over to address the situation.
Eventually, after wasting our entire morning sitting waiting for breakfast, we decided to get up and leave and even then was not acknowledged. It’s a shame that the service and staff did not live up to what used to be a good place. I highly recommend if you’re going here with kids be aware.!!!!!

Get the maple bacon on whatever you order and you won't regret it (however your cardiologist might). 😳

Madison (think she's one of the owners, but won't admit it cause she's on the run from Maury Povich), was super pleasant and catered to us like we were the only ones there. So entered at 11:45 am expecting a quick bit but expected a nice treat but was not pleased. I was told the wait was 15-20 which is fine but then I was told about outdoor seating and I accepted waited 10 minutes but no one came. Frustrated I went to the front and decided to eat inside. Thinking it would be better. But no after I gave my order 30 minutes passed with no food. I understand its busy but no communication with my waitress made me feel frustrated. So I decided to leave and respect my time. I understand it being busy but no communication is no excuse

their food used to be really good… but the fact that me and my family waited nearly 2 hours to be seated and served at all was astronomically disappointing…. i unfortunately will never be going back.

If I could give zero stars I would. Service is terrible. They told us 30 minutes , we waited 1 hour. They never offered us outside seating. Then when we got seated, we had to wait another 10 minutes for a server to come to us. The glass with water on the table was dirty , had stuff floating in it. They didn’t have a couple menu items. And to top it all off, the food took forever.
