Twice we've tried to get food here in the middle of the day on the weekend around noon and the sign says open but the doors locked and no one in sight. The place looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a long time. Not going here anymore.
Went here twice. The first day I ordered a sandwich and they forgot the tomato, not a big deal. Tye sandwich was still decent. The second day I went back and got a bacon egg and cheese with onion. They forgot the onions, but more importantly the bacon tasted awful and the bread (roll) was pretty hard. By far the worst bacon egg and cheese I’ve ever had. Will not be coming back, definitely a lot of other better delis around.
Not sure what’s going on with this place. I went there twice for lunch recently but it was closed and there were no hours posted on the door.
Love the manager, food is always delicious and made with love (:
I wish I can give them zero stars, last time giving them a chance. No respect for the nasty hero’s there serve and money they charge for their food
Horrible!! Life long customer, will never come back!! Meat was NOT Boar's Head as advertised, like it used to be. Minimal drink selection, no pickles, sandwiches were both half heated. Counter guy touched nose multiple times. Sad to see another Long Island landmark fall to poor management.
Fine food. Terrible experience though, I ordered and waited an hour on my food, for 4 sandwiches, it was not busy and no one working was wearing a mask. Like I said the food is fine but I won’t go back, and wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
They make a decent sandwich. Very large and its local which is great. And they're certainly friendly enough. But unfortunately they did once mess up a breakfast order. I'm close so they politely made me another. And tonight (after midnight) I'm eating a hero that I picked up this morning. I was really disappointed upon opening it. At first I actually thought it was the wrong sandwich. Its mine...but I ordered a very basic sandwich and only requested mayo and some black pepper. I did get those but it's also loaded with lettuce and tomato...which I did not want. Checked my order...thinking I may have accidentally clicked those...but I hadn't. When I get these on a burger it's really easy to just push off and ignore. But like I said...I picked this up over 12 hours ago and it was a warmed sandwich with extra mayo and melted cheese. Hence 12 hours later I'm pulling soggy lettuce and tomato off of a sandwich that I was really looking forward to. Its NOT the end of the world but the sweetness of the two items (even though now removed) has basically soaked into what I think of, and like as a saltier sandwich...which I sweeten only with mayo. Disappointed. I'll still go there but I'm going to be a lot more careful to double check what I've been given early on. For nearly $15 AND they were tipped (and no one else was in the store)...its kind of a bummer to have had this happen.I also wish they had a better system of giving a finished and paid order to people. Like 2 lines with a sign saying "pickup" under one. I waited 15 minutes last week for a sandwich I'd paid for already on the internet with tip. (I came at the time I was told and my sandwich was sitting already made-on the counter). I actually went out to my car and came back in bc they were busy dealing with others customers. If they had a separate sign I could just walk up and they could hand me my sandwich
ordered a hero for Christmas, go to pick it up at 12 on Christmas day like ordered and they are closed We have ordered on Christmas before and picked up on Christmas day. Call today to see what happened and the who answers the phone acts like she can't speak English, offers no explanation just she no no owner not here hen she hangs up on me. This is terrible how does a place like this stay opened. very dissapointing
I support local business! Good store with great food. Fair prices compared to most delis. Could use some updating. However the Nostalgia is there. Always kind and never messes up an order and that is worth the visit.

The place is gross to be inside of; I try not to touch anything because I don’t want to get any diseases.Ceiling tiles with water stains, cobwebs, electrical cords for the Neon Lights; Drink cooler & coffee maker look like they have 10 years of gack on them. Take some time out of your not so busy schedule and clean the place up!How the Board of Health hasn’t shut this place down is beyond me. All of these observations were in the front end I cannot begin to imagine what the back of the place looks like.I did make multiple trips here despite what I wrote above but then they started to run out of everyday necessities that every hero shop should have as far as ingredients is concerned so that was the last straw.Good riddance.
ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!! Nothing like it used to be with the original owners in seldon. Place is dirty, guy wasn’t wearing gloves making the sandwiches we ordered, are you freaking kidding me!? Covid or not put gloves on when handling food! The turkey and pastrami looks like it was made in some sweat shop in China. Took one bite and threw the rest out. No doubt he will be out of business soon.
Grilled chicken was too salty and the italian had meat that I could not identify.
I’m not that bored of a person to just seek out review boards and actually write something, but this was an unusual circumstance. This place is absolutely atrocious. Went there today with 2 of my coworkers and all 3 of us got chicken cutlet sandwiches that were off the special board. First off, all three of the sandwiches came with chicken nuggets inside instead of actual chicken cutlets. Second, my sandwich was supposed to come with bacon and there was no bacon. I had bought
Tried to place orders three times on three different days via uber eats: two separate times you were out of roast beef at 1-2 pm. Then I get told "it wasn't on the truck". I used to work in a deli. the meets are ordered then delievered. so i think you should be ordering two roast beefs next time. Then on another day at 4 pm, out of hero rolls. you close at 7 !!! I wish Lucky still owned this Campus.
