We like to pick new restaurants along a route to our kid's college and on this trip we picked Rome NY. The Delta Lake Inn was high on the Trip Advisor recommended list so we stopped there late on a sunny Saturday afternoon. It took a few minutes to get seated in a nearly empty restaurant & bar. There is an adjacent golf course, and a recreational lake nearby. The waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, and quite delightful. We ordered the Deep Fried...
My experience here is very hit or miss. A month ago my wife and I had the best steaks of our lives there. Yesterday, we took my in laws and her aunt out for dinner. We ordered 5 steaks. 3 were undercooked and one was over cooked. The server seemed annoyed when we asked for the 2 undercooked to be cooked a bit longer. Not a great experience when you spend almost $300 after tax and tip.
We had our daughter and son in laws rehearsal dinner at Delta Lake Inn. We were so pleased with every aspect of our evening. The service was so attentive and friendly, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was so welcoming and comfortable. We could not be happier with our special evening there. Again, the food was amazing. People are still commenting about how great it was. Thank you so much for a memorable evening!
