Swedish hill always makes me think of wine slushies at the State Fair. We visited the winery on a cold November day. They were advertising wine slushies for sale (small size or large), and there was nothing that seemed less appetizing. I wish they promoted some sort of hot, mulled drink to get customers excited for the holiday season. We ordered our wine tastings at the front counter, and we carried them to the back room that had wrought-iron tables and chairs in a round, window-filled room. It was very drafty and cold. We got a small package of Milano cookies with our tasting, which seems like an odd pairing. One has to travel outside to the bathroom, which isn't all that convenient in the colder months. I am a red wine drinker, and several of the wines were tasty. I felt as if my wine tasting experience wasn't very personal - we weren't checked on much during our stay. There was a nice 30 percent off discount 3 or more bottles, which we took advantage of. What did surprise me was they did not offer us a box upon paying for our wines. When you buy 3 or more wines from a vineyard/tasting room, that is standard courtesy!

It's nice for a change to be able to taste wines that aren't full of complexity. I chose the varieties that would give me more of the Concord grape flavor and am happy to say they had many. Their back deck overlooking their pond is so enjoyable. Also our visit by a very talkative pony was quite t he treat. Jamie took exceptional care and had the patience of a Saint. We've put this wine out at Halloween for the parents that accompany the children and it's been a hit. So we returned to restock for this year. Not a over the top fussy or fancy winery, but definitely friendly staff and great ?.

This place is not worth the drive. The signage was not that great until you were on top of this place. It is so far off the beaten path. But when you get here there is really nothing here. The grounds are nice, but it is not like a crazy memorable over the top winery that would draw you back. Or separate it from the rest of the wineries. The staff was just okay. Not a lot of describing the wine in the flight by the server. No history, no back story, no frill. Basically, just look at the list, pay for it, and here is what you ordered. It sort of felt arrogant. Like our wine is so good we don't need to say much about it.My guess is that they are just starting out and trying to get their feet wet.

Love the place. A great selection of different wines with little snacks to clean your pallet in between the different wines. The service is very good with lots of knowledge of the wines. You can sit inside or outside with awesome views of the lake. I always want to buy all the wines they have. It's always a stop we must do whatever we are in the area.

Optimus is the Best! Anyone that disagrees go stick to your overly sweetened grape juice ! Staff is awesome ! Long live Doobie

Winter and Summer winery for all seasons. Friendly owners and staff. Great wine especially the Glogg. Great warm or chilled. Nice pond and view of the grapes.

I used to love this place and their wines because I could choose which wines I wanted to taste. Went there again today and my dry white selection wasn't so good. For $12 -$14 a tasting I should be able to pick my own selection.

Friendly staff, decent wine tasting experience, and some fun merch. After a week in the finger lakes I’ve realized its wine isn’t good although this place has a unique bourbon wine.

We were the last tasting so seemed a bit rushed but understandable. They have a wide variety of wine, especially enjoy the fruit wines. Nice place to go and enjoy some wine but be sure to arrive well before closing time.

Really cute winery with many diverse flights of wine to try. If wine is not your thing then they make their own delicious hard ciders that have lots of different flavors.

We’ve been to this winery several times over the years and were exited to visit again after 3 years of not traveling to the Finger Lakes region. The reason for the 2 star review is because we still enjoyed the wine but not the service. We did our tasting, and were browsing and gathering our purchase. I had a question about one of the wines that we hadn’t tasted when Jean started to ring out the one bottle that I picked. She then asked my husband about the tshirt he was holding. I explained that we weren’t quite ready to check out and that we were still browsing. She seemed in such a rush to get the sale and have us move on that I didn’t get to ask my questions. I returned the one bottle to the shelf and put the tshirt back and we left. Sorry Jean, You lost the sale. There are plenty of other wineries in the area.

Very neat place! Wines are very good. Damn large bullfrog in the rear holding pond! Croaking everywhere, just the frogs not old people. Lol! Definitely a worthwhile stop on the trail. I bought a lot of wines that day. Cayuga and Gewürztraminer are my favorites!

Nice facility. We sampled outside at a table and it was quite pleasant. However, the wines disappointed. The new tasting options are to choose from several predefined flights. None of the wines impressed any of the 4 in our party. The Optimus in particular was so funky I had to aske for a taste from a new bottle. But that didn't make an improvement. It had a taste I never experienced before.
