Crystal Brook Resort & Mountain Brauhaus

We enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were a bit dated but very clean. The beds were super comfortable and the sheets felt new, very crisp. My family stayed in three rooms in the cottage behind the Brauhouse. Rooms were spacious and we loved the deck that surrounded them where we could sit and hang while the children played. Breakfast every morning was made to order and excellent. Our dinners at the Brauhouse were excellent. We enjoyed eating on the deck. The pool was gigantic. Everyone loved it.

My wife has been talking about going to New York to look at the foliage in the fall for about 25 years. This year I decided to surprise her with a weekend away to the Catskills. I found Crystal Brook Resort and Mountain Brauhaus and the German theme was different, so we decided to give it a try. It was a lot of fun. The room in the cottage was excellent. It was clean, comfortable, and just nice. We took a walk on the property and saw the waterfall in the woods. The next day we went for a ride through the mountains and saw some great sites, including a really cool waterfall. The owner, Wendy was very hospitable and pleasant to deal with. We’re already talking about the next time we go back.
The food at the Brauhaus was really good and the entertainment was fun.
Another benefit was that the prices were better than most of the places in the area for the room.

We had a large group stay this past weekend for a memorial bike ride we planned around the Catskill region. Wendy (one of the owners of the resort) was very accommodating with our room booking and any changes we made. To be expected with a large group coming from different areas, there was last minute changes of how many nights, cancelations, etc. They were completely understanding and were able to help with such requests. Breakfast was included in our stays which made for a convenient morning before hitting the road each day. They offer eggs made fresh to order, as well as a rotation of breakfast foods. We had dinner in the Brauhaus Saturday night where we were able to enjoy authentic and delicious German food, as well as live music. The grounds are meticulously maintained and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommend!

Great place to relax and enjoy nature and the people

rooms are basic (bring shampoo/conditioner and an extra pillow) but the atmosphere, experience and hospitality are unmatched. included breakfast is much needed before a day of hiking or exploring the area, and the brauhaus’s german fare is on point! amazing affordability for a group or family trip. i look forward to returning year after year.

My family has been coming to “The Catskills” for over 60 years with their friends and families. We LOVE the Hasenkopf family and their resort…and of course The Brauhaus! The food is always delicious whether at the main house or across the street. While the accommodations at the hotel are a bit dated, they have a vintage charm and are clean and comfy. If you’re looking for a place that has an authentic German vibe, look no further! It’s a destination that we look forward to EVERY year. The memories we’ve made here mean so much to our families…especially now that we are getting older. The nostalgia and watching our children love it as much as we do is priceless! For great german food in a quaint german bierhouse atmosphere this is the place. On top of a mountain in the catskills you will find a slice of Germany. Staff wear traditional garb. Food is secoond to none. All tasty german beers on tap. Lots to look at. You will think your in the Alps. I just went to the brauhaus cant say anything bout the resort.

My Mom and I stayed this past weekend at the Crystal Brook Resort Mountain Brauhaus and had an overall amazing time.The hotel, restaurant and accommodations are situated in a breathtaking and picturesque location within the scenic Catskill Mountains, so the views are second to none.The entire resort is family owned and operated, and they made the experience even better! From the owner, to the restaurant waitstaff and even the breakfast waitresses the service was stellar.The room was rustic, and the beds were very comfortable.The main dining hall and brew house had music both nights (Friday and Saturday) and the atmosphere was fun and the food was superb.Overall I would say our stay was a 10/10 and we definitely plan on coming back in the near future!

Great, family oriented establishment! Simple accommodations, but clean and everything you would want or need. It's very reminiscent of visiting the German or Austrian countryside, which is exactly what we were seeking. Owners are very nice and have a beautiful, traditional hofbrauhaus on the property as well, with dancefloor and live entertainment. Highly recommend visiting the hofbrauhaus. Excellent traditional German food along with more American cuisine. There is a reason we return every year (from NJ, NH, MD, VA, NC, and FL) for a family reunion.

I stayed here while playing music for a Wedding at nearby resort . I loved the peace and charm of Crystal Brook . A warm welcome from owner Wendy and a fantastic breakfast served in a dining room which takes you back to a time when things seemed simpler. The pool , tavern and perfect grounds all made me want to stay longer... but there will be a next time , I'll be back for sure .

I'm coming back next year and definitely will recommend to family and friends. So friendly. Food was delicious,
