We came to Julia's on a whim. What a lovely experience! Norway meets upstate NY! I've never had Aquavit at any restaurant in the US. The service was impeccable, Julia herself took our coats and hung them up. We had a delightful chicken liver pate as a starter with homemade pickled onions and (Norwegian) kneip bread. Julia's Local is indeed my 'local' and my friends and I couldn't be happier about that. The food is terrific as is the wine... especially the Chardonnay!!!! The atmosphere is anything but pretentious and prices extremely reasonable. One of the fascinating aspects of this venue is the fact that when you read the description of a dish, it sounds pretty normal, not terribly exciting. When it arrives however, not only does it look wonderful but it tastes absolutely...

Julia's is hands down the best restaurant I've ever been in the USA. No doubt.
Julia, Henning, Kelly and the whole staff are fenomenal. They always make you feel welcomed and make each time we attend the restaurant unique and special.
The food is DIVINE, all year long. Farm to table doesn't even describe the freshness and elegance of each dish.
Never have I ever looked forward to the sides as much as the star of a plate.
