My Aunt and myself ordered from Al Dente, for a delivery on Wednesday evening 12/3/25. We ordered a small pepperoni pizza, angel hair pasta with marinara, with a container of sauce on the side along with a meatball. The bill was $27.35, it was the worst pizza and pasta and dog ball I and my Aunt have ever had. Horrible food. Raw sauce, minimal sauce no extra the meatball tasted like dog food. Pizza was burned, the pepperoni was so over cooked it shrunk to the size of a nickel. I called and complained and he said he would send more sauce, lmao, I said no and we won’t order there again. We wanted to be good customers but it is not possible at this establishment. Thanks, Mary
Overall the pizzas here are pretty good but beware that their website prices aren't accurate and they will charge you more once you get to the restaurant.

My band recently performed at the Harrison Meadows concert series. We customarily order pizza for the guys with plenty of time before the show but I got distracted and ordered late. I was told it would be 45 to 50 minutes because it was around dinner time. This would’ve been cutting it too close but I ordered the pizza anyway and asked if they could do what they can to get it there earlier. The pizza arrived in 30 minutes and it was delicious! Thank you Al Dente!

Pizza was tasteless. Also stop asking people if they want the slices warmed up, just warm it up, nobody wants cold pizza.

Owner of Al Dente in Rye is a terrific guy. Nice selection of foods. Good neighborhood spot. Crowded at lunchtime. I've dined in, had food delivered and parties catered by Al Dente.
Vegetarian options: Numerous mushroom and eggplant options. All delicious. I especially like the eggplant rollatini and the portobello appetizers. Don't order the stuffed mushrooms if you're vegetarian, because they're stuffed with sausage meat.

First time ever complaining about food and not one to do so but this place needs to be shut down. That food was disgusting and it wasn’t just my meal. Salmon was slimy and eggplant was like eating leather and none of the food had any taste.

It's been over 15 years since first eating here and I talk about it every time I talk about New York. Amazing food and good people. I would happily eat everything on the menu

Last Friday I was out late shopping and Google'd pizza and Al Dente popped up. I drove over there and although it was late, there were some really good looking sausage slices. I got one to go and while I was eating, I was thinking this is a really good slice. I wanted to get another, but it was now 10pm so they were closing. Went home and told my wife about this spot we need to try out.
Fast forward to last night and it the pouring rain we took a 20+ minute ride out to Rye. Ordered a large pie over the phone for pick-up. The box felt light, but I put it on my backseat and drove him.
Man what a terrible pie. It was thin, lacked cheese and was much smaller than what I remember last week's sausage slice to be like.
This Al Dente pie was reminiscent of a Brooklyn "dollar slice". Pure garbage. Never going back.
