Always love Aurora, there food is great and service is solid, my lowered star rating is becuase they used to have a velvet cover by the door in the winters to protect diners from the frigid cold of the door opening and closing. We were cold and wore our jackets the entire dinner as a result of the door opening and closing all night. This is an easy fix.
Food is consistently excellent and staff is great, always friendly, professional and work as a team supporting each other.
Nothing nice to say about the food or mediocre service. Would not go back and would not recommend.
We love aurora! Tonight I had the dish that sounded like their version of a “poke bowl” and it was soooooo good! Service was great
Our serves Kayla was awesome! She made sure we were happy with our meal. To be honest the only down side was the noise. It was pretty loud but other than that it was awesome.
Made us wait for almost 30 minutes for a reservation. Other than that everything was very good.
The reason Aurora is one of my favorite places has to do with the staff. Everyone is so nice and put pride in their work. The place always feels very cozy, with everyone having an enjoyable time. The menu and food is reliably good and there's something for everyone.
We always love going to Aurora! We know food and service will be great! It has a good vibe without being too much so you can enjoy good conversation. Always our go to spot!
Love yhe new wine and the food is always excellent. Juan was a new server and je was excellent. My friend and I had a great time.
Service was slow- food was good though. Maybe a Friday night deemed the poor service- not the waiters fault.

We've been going to Aurora for years. I don't always leave reviews because they'd be redundant. But this time, we brought my Mom who normally doesn't go out to eat but I knew she'd love “Linguini Fini with Clams” and “Prince Edward Island Mussels” (Two of our favorite dishes on the menu). And oh boy did she devour them. She's such a picky eater but she loved every bit of the dish - the sauce, pasta, clams, mussels, and spooned all the liquid because she didn't want to “waste” any of it. Also, what I love about Aurora is that even though it's a very busy and popular restaurant, they know who I am when I make the reservation on Open Table and calls me by my name when I walk in, like they know me even without looking at the reservation. When I call them to change a reservation, they answer the phone by saying my name. Yes, I know “technology” allows them to know who I am but it's still nice that they call me by my name. Pedro the host is very kind and accommodates us best of his ability. The food, ambience, service, drinks, desserts all deserve more than 5 stars. It's a very popular place so you may not like the noise level during the peak hours but that's a very good indicator of a restaurant, no? Go here. You won't regret it. Oh, you'll love the hummus with bread as a starter. We usually ask for more.
Great all around. The location, the staff, the food, and the ambience is exactly what one would expect in the Town of Rye... Look forward to going back already!
The food is delicious and the atmosphere is wonderful. The only issue is that the staff hovers a bit, like they cannot wait to clear your table and get the next reservation in.
We eat here often and the server was very nice as is everyone here. The problem was it took so long to get drinks from the bar. The restaurant was packed, so maybe have more than 1 bartender. But the food was good not great. It's consistent and tasty but nothing that special. The real problem with the restaurant is noise levels. It's very hard to hear. My family has been going here since it opened and we do like it but we have always called it “A roar A” due to the noise levels. Also normally they do a bread and hummus service but we did not get offered that last night.
Aurora is the “Cheers” of Rye City! The ambiance is cozy and inviting and for as long as I have lived in the area - it is the most consistent restaurant overall. They never disappoint. The food is great, good portion size and not terribly overpriced.
