Had a wonderful dinner here. Started off with the duck foie gras, and my friend ordered the duck terrine. The foie gras was creamy, buttery and just delicious on the toast points. So memorable. I also adored the duck terrine With cornichons and hot mustard. For entrées, we ordered the duck breast and the filet mignon. The filet was extremely tender and I truly enjoyed the port wine reduction and The crispy potato croquette, as well as the shallot rings. The duck breast was a taste sensation, accompanied by a crisp wild Rice and buttered vegetables. But now for dessert... The pistachio soufflé was amazing! So light and fluffy. I also really liked the lemon meringue tart with it's orange and citrus flavors. Overall, the meal was very memorable, service was excellent, and it was very enjoyable. I will miss this restaurant.

La Panetiere is the best restaurant in Westchester County. we have known Jacques for a very long time and he never disappoints. We are very sad he is closing his doors at the end of this month. La Panetiere will be sorely missed.

This is my favorite restaurant in Westchester and I sorry that it will close at the end of this month. I've had many memorable experiences here and have enjoyed every one. Truly a great restaurant!

The food was impeccable, as always. The prix fixe menu was a delightful adventure with something for everyone. The staff are courteous and attentive and they did a wonderful job with a full house.

Great place and very sad to see it go. Had a delicious dinner, but then the soufflé took 35 minutes. I wish I had been told about the wait when I ordered. The staff is excellent and the ambience great. There are not many restaurants of this caliber anymore, and it is very upsetting to see it end

This was the first of 3 meals at La Panetiere this month as they are closing on Halloween night. The service and food was as wonderful as always. We wish Jacques the best of everything no matter what he decides to do next. We hope we can follow Stephan and the rest of the staff wherever they decide to go....perhaps a place of their own? La Panetiere will be sorely missed...

This restaurant is exceptional with incredible food and service. It is very sad that it will be closing because of the owner/chef's retirement. It's one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten in and it will be sorely missed.

Everything all four of us had was delicious and thoughtfully presented. The service was not rushed. Pricey.

TL/DR: a large VIP party took every server in the restaurant and our meal took over 3 hours start to finish while serves ignored or forgot about a nut allergy numerous times. Our experience tonight, a birthday dinner, was strange to say the least. I preface this by saying that I have come up working as a server and bartender, and understand that sometimes you just have a bad night. We have dined everywhere from diners to 3 Michelin star restaurants. And the food here was incredible and absolutely worth the visit. But the service tonight was unacceptably bad.We were seated immediately but this was the fastest the front of house moved (for us) all night. We sat at our table for over 10 minutes before anyone came, and then this was only to fill water glasses. About 10 minutes after this, a server asked what we wanted to drink; we were not welcomed to the restaurant or provided with menus besides the tasting menu. We were asked if we planned to have the tasting menu, to which we said yes: I also at this point mentioned a nut allergy due to items on the menu that were listed with nuts. When we asked about a wine menu 5 minutes later, this took another 10 to be brought to the table by who appeared to be the head server and not our prior server. This new server also brought us a la carte menus (what should have been a sign that the first server had processed nothing we had said), after which we again stated we planned to have the tasting menu. There was clearly a large VIP party upstairs, as the servers were running like everything was on fire. The number of near crashes between serves coming through the kitchen doors was comical. Once our food started to come, the pace was acceptable though this was about 1 hour after we had been seated. The food was incredible, though the plating was very inconsistent (a minor detail at this point). After four out of six courses, a new server came by to apologize for the speed and to tell us everything would be smooth from then on as the party was wrapped up.At this point I was presented with a course covered in nuts, but could not get a server back to the table for another 5 minutes to get a new plate due to my allergy. From then on, odd items were left off my plates including a butter cookie and rice crackers (neither of which should have nuts?). We then ended the meal with (you guessed it) more nut based pastries, despite another table being presented with a mixture including chocolate cookies. Our coffee was not burnt, which was a nice surprise at this point. However the cups were literally drying and turning into a permanent paste while the head servers talked with the hostess in french for another 30 minutes, until we caught the server's eye for the third time to ask for a check. I filled out a comment card, and then our check was returned with a new blank card so I assume it was thrown out. I was then given a very rushed "Happy birthday" dessert of one half frozen strawberry, a sugar sign reading happy birthday, and a sparkler candle. Essentially inedible and clearly an afterthought.A side note, they don't take Discover cards, which just seems outdated. We were then given what I can only assume was a gift bag with more almond cookies on the way out. The entire night was bizarre and honestly the service completely ruined the experience. Maybe we just happened to have bad luck and be there on a night with a more important party. But not worth the money or three hours of our time.

One of the finest restaurants in the New York area for over 30 years. Truly special and unique The compositions are delicious. And service is personal and at the right level of attention

La Panetiere holds wonderful memories of elegant celebrations of anniversaries, holidays, and simply special relationships. The experiences have been so predictably enjoyable that it seemed that this place would continue unchanged. Learning that it would be closing on October 31st with most of the magnificent wait staff now looking for work is heart-breaking. Offering a simple thank you cannot capture the deep gratitude I harbor for all who have made La Panetiere what it has meant. Au revoir et bonne chance!

This was our final fantastic meal at La Panatiere. Sadly, they are closing the end of September. We will miss them tremendously. This beautiful venue has been our special occasion destination for years. We wish Jacques all the best in his well deserved retirement.

Restaurant is not the same. Clearly, they are short of staff and attentive service is non-existent. The food is good but not exceptional as it has been in the past. It was a disappointment. Apparently, the restaurant is closing the end of October, 2021.
