I walked in around 3:15 today after picking up my daughter from school. She brought a friend with her. They are very well behaved 10 year olds. Their local bakery (snackery) was closed so we walked down a block to LPQ. I have never entered this store before so don’t know the protocols. It was not obvious to me that this was a table service establishment as well as a counter-service bakery. The young woman with dark hair in glasses who “served” us initially conveyed a sense of reluctance and indifference as we asked questions from the counter as to what was available. I should note we were the only customers in the store. Two other tables were seated, but nobody else was at the counter. Maybe she was having a bad day, but her indifference quickly morphed into overt hostility. I asked if she had muffins and she took two trays she had presumably just placed on the rear counter in an effort to clean up(?) and lobbed them one by one with a deep sigh onto the sales counter so we could view them. Again, I’m standing with two little girls after promising them a treat. They were confused as to why this woman was being so mean. As was I. We
Selected two treats (I wanted one too but their prices are absurd - $8.50 for a little fruit tart and the same for a brownie so I just let the girls have theirs. I asked if they had plastic knives so the girls could share their treats and she said “oh you wanna eat it here? You should have told me.” I’m not accustomed to being spoken to like I made a mistake when I had no idea the protocol so I replied “or maybe you should’ve asked me if these items were to dine in or take away?” At this point the adversarial vibe was inescapable but I asked the girls to remain calm and enjoy their treats at the end of the big table we were directed to. Once seated my daughter couldn’t resist peeking over to the counter, sensing something awry. I asked her not to stare but she said “Daddy, that lady just rolled her eyes at me and shook her head.”
Suffice to say we walked in with a skip in our step and left feeling disrespected and ripped off. We are locals but will now go out of our way to avoid this place.

My husband and I stopped into Le Pain Quotidien in Rye, NY to start off our New Year, and we truly could not have asked for a better experience. From the moment we sat down, our server Nikko made us feel so welcome and well taken care of.
This was honestly one of the best server experiences we’ve ever had, attentive without being overbearing, incredibly kind, and genuinely happy to be there. Everything came out perfectly, our questions were answered with care, and the entire meal felt relaxed and enjoyable because of him
It’s rare to find service that makes you want to come back just for the person, but Nikko absolutely did that for us. He helped make our New Year start off great, and we will definitely be coming again.

The establishment was notably busy today; however, the staff appeared to manage the volume effectively. As a frequent patron of your rye location, I consistently experience exceptional service from your team. Today, it seemed that Chris was working independently and appeared to be under significant pressure. I hope he is doing well. I observed a situation where a table behind me was verbally aggressive towards him due to a minor error. Despite Chris's repeated apologies and even an offer to comp their entire bill, they continued their verbal assault and threatened to contact corporate. Their focus remained solely on a trivial mistake that could occur with anyone. I wish to personally commend Chris for his professionalism and encourage him to disregard such unreasonable behavior.

Usually go to the Greenwich location but decided to stop by this one for lunch while I was in the area today. My server, Nico was so sweet and attentive. Amanda was also super welcoming and even got me to try something new. Will definitely be coming back to this location!

We arrived, asked to sit outside, staff helped accommodate a party of 3 and brought an extra seat to the table (where they had 2 seats) we sat a party of 3 comfortably outside. Until…the rule enforcement came. “Sorry, you can’t use indoor furniture outdoors…it’s our policy”. Umm…indoor furniture can’t be outside? Will it break? It’s a chair. When costumer comfort and satisfaction is at the bottom of the list of importance as a policy, you know where you stand. I’ll go somewhere that prioritizes friendly policies and quality food…which they clearly don’t do here…as a policy

The food was absolutely amazing; every bite was a burst of flavor. The overall atmosphere was incredibly welcoming and relaxing, making me feel right at home. The lighting and music created a perfect ambiance for a delightful experience. The staff's attentiveness and friendliness truly enhanced the evening. They were always available, ensuring every need was met with a smile. Service was prompt, the timing between courses was perfect. I really loved the entire experience, will go back soon. I can't wait to return for another memorable dining experience.

Great food and service! Thank you!
Who doesn't believe in love at first sight!?
Today was my very first visit to this welcoming, warm and sophisticated Le Pain Quotiden. Staff went above and beyond. I'm somewhat shy, came in around lunch. Amanda made me feel extra comfortable & told me to ask Jorge for his favorite suggestion. They did not disappoint! Jorge made me an omelet with ham & gruyère, and some delicious avocado toast. I hope the menu is consistent, I WILL be coming back for more! Thank you Jorge & Amanda for providing me comfort, and comfort food.

I was really disappointed with my visit to Le Pain Quotidien. The doughnut I ordered was completely stale, and the avocado on my avocado toast was already browned, which made it very unappetizing. My coffee also tasted off—almost like the milk they used had gone bad. To make matters worse, my son’s waffle was dried out and tasted stale as well. Overall, the food was not fresh, and the quality was far below what I expected. I definitely do not recommend this place.
Nico, our server, was fabulous! Duck a great personality!

Today I have a bad experience. No staff, nobody there and a coffee took 15 min to arrive and kind of cold. What is going on? A wonderful place with good food empty and no staff?? Owner you cannot let that happen!
