Some colleagues wanted to go out for ice cream, and I didn't want to tell them I usually don't. But the staff here was really great getting me set up with a non-dairy option that was delicious! It's got more than just ice cream, with an old-fashioned candy store feel to it. It was busy but the staff was pleasant and hustled to get everyone what they needed. Definitely would recommend

We came here a lot for weekend treat, great stuff and it was always a happy experience. However a recently visit has not been pleasant. We saw some new flavors that never had before and want to get the tiny taste samples, which is always fine in any ice cream store. But this one girl told us “you can’t taste more than 2 flavors!” in a super cold tone with even colder face. (We never encountered this rule in previous visits.) Oh well, I guess I won’t taste it at all then. I mean, even it is a hard rule of the store (which obviously is not), could you tell us in a nicer way? Or perhaps let us know ahead of order? Or wrote it down on the wall “No more than 2 taste samples”? So anyone who is looking for same quality ice cream but new flavors, the Main Street Sweet ice cream store in tarry town is amazing and super friendly! And you can taste many flavors if you like :)

Lonford’s Ice Cream. 🍦 We went with family after dinner in downtown Rye, NY. Great place for the whole family. Lots of various ice cream to choose from and sorbet. Downtown Rye is decorated beautifully for Christmas. Everybody loved their selections. Right off Main Street close to all the main restaurants.
Their ice cream is delicious. I recently tried the pink tutu, which is cookie monster, but a little different for breast cancer awareness month. It's was so good! The service is always quick and efficient. I don't go too often, but it's a treat when I do.
Wheelchair accessibility: A wheelchair can come in and move around fine, but it's a small space, so maneuvering while they are busy would deffinitely be more challenging.

We bought a cookie monster, pistachio, cotton candy, and espresso nugget. The ice cream was flavorful and not overly sweet. There are also candy of all kinds. They provided samples and that was a good thing because who likes to get an ice cream flavor that you were debating about and not like it? Plus there are at least 10 to 20 wonderful flavors to choose from! Longford’s Ice Cream RYE is great and i would highly reccomend it to anybody!
