My daughter is vegan, I’m vegetarian, and my husband is carnivore so it’s not always easy to find the perfect spot we can all enjoy together. We probably never would have discovered the Pureganic Cafe if not for my daughter, and I’m so glad we did. People who immediately dismiss places labeled “vegan” or “plant-based” really need to broaden their horizons, because the food here is genuinely delicious.
Everything is made with high-quality ingredients and bold, thoughtful flavors. It’s also refreshing to enjoy a meal that leaves you feeling satisfied and energized, not overstuffed or weighed down by excess sugar, salt, or fat. You actually feel like you’re nourishing your body—and maybe even your spirit—with every bite. The cafe is clean, simple, spacious, and casual. There is an extensive menu to order from as well as prepared foods to choose from behind the glass displays. We’ve both eaten in (you order at the register and seat yourself) and done takeout. On my last visit taking out, I enjoyed chatting with the owner and creator of the recipes. She has an inspiring personal health journey, and you can clearly feel how much heart and soul she puts into this place. That care truly shines through in the food. I recently tried the house special veggie burger and wow—it was insanely good. My only minor complaint is that for a casual café or takeout spot, it isn’t cheap. That said, when I think about the “we are what we eat” philosophy and how important it is to take care of the one body we get, it feels completely worth every penny. If you’re thinking about trying the Pureganic Cafe, DO IT, especially if it means moving outside your comfort zone! Your body, stomach, and taste buds will thank you!

This place was UNREAL! My fiancé is celiac and allergic to soy, and they ensured us that their kitchen is completely gluten free. We had the lox bagel, and it was unbelievable. Although it is vegan, it tasted exactly like lox. 10/10. The owner was extremely nice and personable as well☺️

Amazing gluten free vegan food! Traveled here from an hour away and it’s totally worth the drive. The meatball hero was hands down the best vegan sandwich I’ve ever had. The chocolate cranberry tart was to die for. Also got the Shepard pie to go (excellent), strawberry cheesecake and pecan tart (both good). Place is very clean and staff is polite and helpful. Highly recommend!

I purchased a drink there with mold floating in it. None of their drinks are dated and when I asked to speak to someone in charge, there was no one. I left my name and number numerous times to speak to the owner or someone in charge and I have never received a call back. Oh and not to mention I have been charged different prices for the same drink on different dates. The worst service I’ve ever received from a food establishment.

Delicious vegan food and nice people working there. I wish they opened a place like that closer to Ossining.
We got pizza which was packed with mushrooms, a falafel bowl and a blueberry cheesecake. 🤤

I ordered a Mediterranean platter, which I enjoyed. It was well seasoned and contained dolmades, artichokes, hummus, a creamy eggplant dip, Kalamata olives, 2 small fresh pita bread slices, some tabouli. It was very flavorful. My father enjoyed it too. Our company ordered a spaghetti and meat(less)balls and a side of gigantes. I tried some gigantes and they tasted good. Our company however didn't seem to care for her main course but took what she couldn't eat home with her. I also took an artichoke spread dip home. It was good but not excellent, not worth the money. The bill for all this was $100.07. A bit high so it won't be a hang out for us. This restaurant is kosher and vegan.
