I had my dream wedding at Whitby Castle. Every detail was executed beautifully. The Maitre d, Ralph went above and beyond for our special day. He was responsive throughout and cared for our wedding as if he knew us. From the food to flow of the rooms (ceremony and reception spaces) everything was done beautifully. The team was accommodating to my needs wanting to come earlier to prep items, etc. The Bridal Attendant, Rosa, was incredibly helpful and supportive throughout the day. She was so on top of things and helping me. Ralph and Rosa are the best! I highly recommend Whitby Castle as a wedding venue!

I wasn’t able to book with them (too far from where I live) but wish I could! Niki was extremely responsive and kind with sending quotes and answering questions. They helped explain everything and were doing everything they could to make it work for us! When I had to cancel our tour they were very understanding and kind. Such a great team to work with!!

We got married at Whitby on 10/3 and it was amazing! From the start, Niki was fantastic. She’s actually a big reason we chose Whitby. She was friendly, organized, and answered all our questions throughout this whole process. I don’t think I waited more than a day for a response from her! Then as we got closer to the actual day, Ralph (operations director) was a rockstar. We met with him a few weeks before to go through everything and he made it so easy. Like Niki, he answered all our questions and had a “back up” plan for everything. The day of went so smoothy. Not only did we have amazing weather, really nothing “went wrong”. The guests kept raving about the venue and the food! We are so happy we chose Whitby for our wedding and are dying to go to a wedding there as a guest ourselves :)

What a gorgeous building and setting for a wedding. The only negative was during the wedding ceremony outside, some staff members at the building were so loud, talking, laughing, and yelling, that it disturbed the otherwise beautiful ceremony.

I’ve photographed a few weddings at Whitby Castle and always look forward to going back. The bridal suite is one of my favorites — spacious, great light, and so many good angles for portraits. Whether couples choose to have their ceremony indoors or outside, both setups are beautiful, which makes it an ideal rain-day venue too. The castle setting is perfect for anyone drawn to that romantic, historic vibe without it feeling too over the top. There’s plenty of room for dinner and dancing, the food is solid, and the staff has always been kind, responsive, and on top of things. A very reliable and photogenic venue! Definitely recommend to all couples planning to get married in this area.

Every time we photograph a wedding at Whitby Castle, it's a real treat. The castle and the property are stunning and the food is always delicious. Our favorite thing about the venue is the ceremony set with the castle as a backdrop.

Niki and Ralph made everything so unbelievably easy for us the entire time from booking to the days after our wedding. Roxy was my bridal attendant, and she made sure my husband and I were never without a drink. They brought all our cocktail-hour food upstairs for us so we could eat in peace and relax. Niki was so easy to communicate with for the entirety of the planning process. Every single question we asked of Ralph, who doubled as our maître d’, got answered and was perfect. We had so much fun at our reception, and it was so helpful to have Ralph there guiding and directing us every step of the way. It was so easy to coordinate dropping off and picking up all of our decor the week of the wedding. There were so many details, which can be overwhelming on your wedding, but with Roxy, Ralph, and Niki (and the entirety of the staff!!) everything was so seamless and like a well oiled machine. I am so unbelievably appreciative of everyone at this venue and cannot recommend Whitby Castle enough!!

I have lived in the Westchester area most of my life, but I had never heard of Whitby Castle until I saw it tagged on Instagram a couple years before I started wedding planning. I’m a romantic person, so the “castle” aspect of it really appealed to me, and they were the first venue I looked up once we started planning, and was the only venue we toured before booking it a day after we first saw it. I just knew I wanted to get married there as soon as I saw it, and I am SO happy we made that somewhat snap decision. It felt like this venue was tailor-made for us, and at every single moment of planning, they made us feel special. Niki is warm and organized and always quick to reply to my questions over email, and our meeting with Ralph the maitre’d was a masterclass in client services. He made us laugh, he was so warm and accommodating, and just made us feel like he really loved his job, and didn’t treat us like “just another wedding.” On the day of, everything went off without a hiccup on their part, despite us running a little behind schedule. At Whitby, they do their rehearsals day of, because they’re a high-volume event space. My rehearsal was about an hour before the ceremony, and I have never known a ceremony to run smoother. Ralph was, again, just funny and warm and organized and incredibly effective. I felt like I was in such good hands. My guests were very impressed with the space, and especially the food. We come from picky, high-standard families when it comes to food, and even the pickiest guests on our guest list complimented us personally on the food, and we didn’t even have to pick the highest-price entrees or the fanciest stations or hors d’ouevres to have gotten that feedback. The room is not overly-adorned (which is what we wanted) and is elegant in its romantic simplicity. They even accommodated an earlier start time without question or extra charge, and I loved that they had Chiavari chairs as their standard, and an in-house bakery that was absolutely delicious. I really got the wedding of my dreams.
