This place did an amazing job for my mom’s 80th birthday. From the very beginning, working with Yasmin to plan all the details, to the day of the event, everything was absolutely flawless.
The maître d’ went above and beyond to make our day truly special. The food was delicious and I was pleasantly surprised since most of the catering food are pretty standard. But this food was very tasty.
Our favorite foods were the penne à la vodka, steak with mushrooms, and the ice cream sundae bar.

We had a great experience hosting our wedding at Whitby Castle. From the initial planning stages to the day itself, everything was handled with a high level of professionalism.
Booking was straightforward and easy thanks to Ralph and Niki. On the day of the wedding, Roxy and Rosa kept everything moving exactly on schedule. Their coordination ensured that we didn't have to worry about the timeline, and the entire event ran smoothly from start to finish.
The food was a major highlight. The chef did an excellent job, and the quality was consistent across every course. He personally talked to each of our guests as well. Our guests were genuinely impressed—we’re still getting compliments about the meal months later, which speaks for itself.
We chose to use their vendor package and were very happy with that decision. It significantly simplified the planning process, and the results were exactly what we had hoped for.
Overall, Whitby Castle delivered a fantastic day. It’s a beautiful spot, but the service and the kitchen are what really set it apart. Highly recommended.

Went for Thanksgiving dinner with family. Was buffet style with lots of options. The short ribs were amazing. Fresh carved turkey and ham also available. Service was impeccable. I highly recommend it as a holiday option.

I had my dream wedding at Whitby Castle. Every detail was executed beautifully. The Maitre d, Ralph went above and beyond for our special day. He was responsive throughout and cared for our wedding as if he knew us. From the food to flow of the rooms (ceremony and reception spaces) everything was done beautifully. The team was accommodating to my needs wanting to come earlier to prep items, etc. The Bridal Attendant, Rosa, was incredibly helpful and supportive throughout the day. She was so on top of things and helping me. Ralph and Rosa are the best! I highly recommend Whitby Castle as a wedding venue!

I wasn’t able to book with them (too far from where I live) but wish I could! Niki was extremely responsive and kind with sending quotes and answering questions. They helped explain everything and were doing everything they could to make it work for us! When I had to cancel our tour they were very understanding and kind. Such a great team to work with!!

We got married at Whitby on 10/3 and it was amazing! From the start, Niki was fantastic. She’s actually a big reason we chose Whitby. She was friendly, organized, and answered all our questions throughout this whole process. I don’t think I waited more than a day for a response from her! Then as we got closer to the actual day, Ralph (operations director) was a rockstar. We met with him a few weeks before to go through everything and he made it so easy. Like Niki, he answered all our questions and had a “back up” plan for everything. The day of went so smoothy. Not only did we have amazing weather, really nothing “went wrong”. The guests kept raving about the venue and the food! We are so happy we chose Whitby for our wedding and are dying to go to a wedding there as a guest ourselves :)

My husband and I got married 9.13.25. Everyone had an amazing time. Whitby is absolutely beautiful, the food was great and the service was excellent. Ralph, Niki and Rosa were so helpful. Ralph was on a marathon of weddings that weekend and you’d never know. He was on top of it all.
What a gorgeous building and setting for a wedding. The only negative was during the wedding ceremony outside, some staff members at the building were so loud, talking, laughing, and yelling, that it disturbed the otherwise beautiful ceremony.

I’ve photographed a few weddings at Whitby Castle and always look forward to going back. The bridal suite is one of my favorites — spacious, great light, and so many good angles for portraits. Whether couples choose to have their ceremony indoors or outside, both setups are beautiful, which makes it an ideal rain-day venue too. The castle setting is perfect for anyone drawn to that romantic, historic vibe without it feeling too over the top. There’s plenty of room for dinner and dancing, the food is solid, and the staff has always been kind, responsive, and on top of things. A very reliable and photogenic venue! Definitely recommend to all couples planning to get married in this area.
