What a gorgeous building and setting for a wedding. The only negative was during the wedding ceremony outside, some staff members at the building were so loud, talking, laughing, and yelling, that it disturbed the otherwise beautiful ceremony.

We hosted our daughter’s first birthday at Whitby Castle and couldn’t be happier! The venue is absolutely beautiful with stunning views and a light, airy atmosphere. The food was excellent, and the service was truly wonderful — special thanks to Rosa, Jasmin, and Nikki for being so warm, attentive, and professional. I’ve photographed a few weddings at Whitby Castle and always look forward to going back. The bridal suite is one of my favorites — spacious, great light, and so many good angles for portraits. Whether couples choose to have their ceremony indoors or outside, both setups are beautiful, which makes it an ideal rain-day venue too. The castle setting is perfect for anyone drawn to that romantic, historic vibe without it feeling too over the top. There’s plenty of room for dinner and dancing, the food is solid, and the staff has always been kind, responsive, and on top of things. A very reliable and photogenic venue! Definitely recommend to all couples planning to get married in this area.

Every time we photograph a wedding at Whitby Castle, it's a real treat. The castle and the property are stunning and the food is always delicious. Our favorite thing about the venue is the ceremony set with the castle as a backdrop.

We got married here this past week on 5/1/25, and I don't think there are enough nice things I can say about Whitby Castle. Niki and Ralph made everything so unbelievably easy for us the entire time from booking to the days after our wedding. Roxy was my bridal attendant, and she made sure my husband and I were never without a drink. They brought all our cocktail-hour food upstairs for us so we could eat in peace and relax. Niki was so easy to communicate with for the entirety of the planning process. Every single question we asked of Ralph, who doubled as our maître d’, got answered and was perfect. We had so much fun at our reception, and it was so helpful to have Ralph there guiding and directing us every step of the way. It was so easy to coordinate dropping off and picking up all of our decor the week of the wedding. There were so many details, which can be overwhelming on your wedding, but with Roxy, Ralph, and Niki (and the entirety of the staff!!) everything was so seamless and like a well oiled machine. I am so unbelievably appreciative of everyone at this venue and cannot recommend Whitby Castle enough!!

I have lived in the Westchester area most of my life, but I had never heard of Whitby Castle until I saw it tagged on Instagram a couple years before I started wedding planning. I’m a romantic person, so the “castle” aspect of it really appealed to me, and they were the first venue I looked up once we started planning, and was the only venue we toured before booking it a day after we first saw it. I just knew I wanted to get married there as soon as I saw it, and I am SO happy we made that somewhat snap decision. It felt like this venue was tailor-made for us, and at every single moment of planning, they made us feel special. Niki is warm and organized and always quick to reply to my questions over email, and our meeting with Ralph the maitre’d was a masterclass in client services. He made us laugh, he was so warm and accommodating, and just made us feel like he really loved his job, and didn’t treat us like “just another wedding.” On the day of, everything went off without a hiccup on their part, despite us running a little behind schedule. At Whitby, they do their rehearsals day of, because they’re a high-volume event space. My rehearsal was about an hour before the ceremony, and I have never known a ceremony to run smoother. Ralph was, again, just funny and warm and organized and incredibly effective. I felt like I was in such good hands. My guests were very impressed with the space, and especially the food. We come from picky, high-standard families when it comes to food, and even the pickiest guests on our guest list complimented us personally on the food, and we didn’t even have to pick the highest-price entrees or the fanciest stations or hors d’ouevres to have gotten that feedback. The room is not overly-adorned (which is what we wanted) and is elegant in its romantic simplicity. They even accommodated an earlier start time without question or extra charge, and I loved that they had Chiavari chairs as their standard, and an in-house bakery that was absolutely delicious. I really got the wedding of my dreams.

As soon as we arrived on the event morning the staff went above and beyond to help us make sure the venue was set up exactly how we wanted. There were employees that helped us bring in many items from the car as well as set the tables with decor that we brought. The bartender was excellent, he made sure there was always drinks flowing! the waitstaff attentive and friendly. The buffet brunch was set up beautifully. I have been told by many of our guests how much they enjoyed the food. I would highly recommend the Whitby for an event and would use this venue again in the future.

Whitby Castle is an absolutely charming, timeless and beautiful place where we held our reception. The whole team is so professional and responsive. From the start, Niki was highly communicative and very kind. She answered all of my (millions of) questions with patience and grace. Ralph the operations director was absolutely stellar and worked with his team to bring all my visions to life. Roxy, my BFF, is the best bridal attendant I could have dreamed of. Every single staff member did not stop smiling all night, they all made us and all of our guests feel so welcome and at home at the castle. The food was amazing and we got so many compliments from guests about the vast spread during the cocktail hour. We would recommend Whitby Castle again and again.
