I was really excited to try this place. I made a reservation for Sunday brunch, when my friend and I showed up at 11:30 the place was closed. Wish we would have known they weren’t going to be open before we drove an hour to get there.

We arrived at this restaurant after viewing the website with its beautiful photos of a delicious array of foods, and were handed a menu with 6 types of pizza. This might have been ok except a member of our group has Celiac and they did not have gluten free crust. We had to leave because GF options were insufficient for our needs.
If you have a rotating menu, or if (as we found 2 days later) you only post updated menu info on Facebook, you need to reflect this info on your website.

Great local place. Authentic food with a slant toward Indian flavors that pop. Well worth it. You won't find much better out here in a small town in the hills

Dinner last night was DELICIOUS! The meatballs were incredible, followed up with warm spiced rice pudding. Such a treat! The pianist added to the calming atmosphere and even took requests. Just an all around perfect night! Thank you Jacko’s!

My parents and I enjoyed a Saturday brunch here a few weeks back. I got the Signature Eggs, my dad got the Breakfast BLT and Sleepy Girl Mocktail, and my mom got the Breakfast Burrito.
I am not a huge fan of brunch (usually) because it is often greasy. But Jacko’s dishes were so fresh, and this was one of the best brunches I’ve had in YEARS!
My Signature Eggs were perfectly poached and the flavors blended together beautifully. I tried a bite of the BLT and of the Burrito— both balanced, fresh, and delicious. I also tried several sips of the Sleepy Girl Mocktail. It was so good that I really should have ordered one of my own.
On top of the great food, the building is beautiful, and our server was very helpful and very patient. The owner was very nice to talk with and shared some of the history of the building with my folks.
Salem is lucky to have this gem of a restaurant! I am excited to come back for another serving. This time I’ll have to get the famous Chicken65!

My wife and I tried brunch and it was the best we’ve had in a long time. Absolutely a gem in Salem NY. The food was delicious and the mimosa’s were bottomless! Highly recommend and will be coming back for dinner soon!

Jacko's catered our office Holiday party. The food was outstanding! We had Butter chicken, vegetable Korma, Chana Masala and a delicious festive winter salad. They delivered and setup everything for us. We would definitely recommend Jacko's to anyone!

Salem is lucky to have this warm, convivial restaurant in town. I had salmon the last time I was there, and it was moist, not rubbery, with a smooth pomegranate glaze that lifted the dish out of the ordinary and expected fare. It was accompanied by a mixed salad studded with pistachios which gave it an unexpected crunch. The salad came with a delicious dressing. When I asked the owner what it was he said he "had just whipped it on the fly" which perfectly captures the spirit of Jacko's - delicious, informal, and surprising.

Had dinner here last night. It was vegan night - and I'm not a vegan, but it was delicious. I had the Stuffed Acorn Squash: highly recommend! I ate every last bite. It was also special event with some memoirs being read. All in all, a great atmosphere, yummy food, and a chill vibe!
