We have been to all the places around the area for our Friday fish fry and Hoover’s has THE best fish fry. We love their homemade ice cream! The only thing that is such a bummer, is the fact that it’s FREEZING in the cooler months, especially winter. Can we get some space heaters or something at least?! I love eating here but it’s hard when it’s so so cold.

Very friendly staff takes your order at the counter. They call your name when order is ready. Food isn't fancy but well made and tasty. Prices are very reasonable and a half order of fries are plenty. Just a bit chilly in there this time of year. Lots of people going in and out getting their egg nog.

I’ve been coming to Hoover’s for lunch and egg nog for decades but not anymore. Yesterday I walked out immediately after noticing an employee wearing a sweatshirt with political messaging on it. I’d question why the owners/managers would allow their employee to wear something like this which clearly runs the risk of alienating customers, but clearly they don’t care if they allow it in the first place.

We have been getting the senior fish fry for several years. We were very disappointed today. The piece of fish was very small and thin. Prices going up and portions getting smaller. It definitely was not up to their previous quality standard.

We ordered two foot long hotdogs and fresh cut fries. The fries were a 10 out of 10 - the hotdogs were a 2 - the buns must have been frozen because they were hard/stale, cold and literally falling apart - they landed in the garbage. Probably better in the summer months but I can’t believe they would even offer hotdogs during the off season if they weren’t going to offer fresh food. We’re one & done for this place - never again.

Very disappointed. We just left there a few minutes ago. My husband and I both ordered footlong hotdogs. The buns were ice cold , hard, and falling apart. They must have been frozen. We threw them in the garbage. The fresh cut fries and shakes weee fine. But we’ll probably never go back. ☹️

OMG, the eggnog in a glass bottle! So creamy and delicious!! The turkey dinner special is outstanding. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. I'd never even heard of the place, but now that I know about it, I'll be back for more!

As a self-proclaimed ice-cream aficionado, I can confidently say this is some of the best ice-cream around. 100% local dairy farm, they employ local kids to serve the customers, and they have an excellent selection of food and flavors!

They have the best variety for ice cream. Hoover’s make their own ice cream which is delicious. I ended up getting frozen yogurt and it was so yummy. The size small is all you need for one or two people. It’s about 3-4 scoops of ice cream. It is definitely worth the money and I will be back.
I didn't get anything my friends that I was with got Milk Shakes and they said they were delicious didn't have any sugar free ice cream.

Went during dinner time it was awfully busy had the opportunity to dine outside on a beautiful sunny warm evening. The food was very good loved the fresh cut real onion rings.
Vegetarian options: All the food was cooked to orde was very tasty .
