Actually really love this place but if you guys don’t have a larger to-go container for your yummy French onion soup, you probably shouldn’t allow bowls to be purchased for to-go orders. I’ve ordered a cup before and this is the same exact amount. I feel duped

Great stop in Saranac Lake! I ordered the Saranac Brewery Blueberry Blonde Ale beer and a burger. Everything was delicious! I wanted to mention how kind and attentive the waitress was despite how busy they were on a holiday weekend. Overall great experience and would definitely stop by again!

Yum! Downhill Grill was exactly what I didn’t even know I needed. The sandwich board outside said ‘Fish Fry Special’ and I was sold. The fish was perfectly crispy fried on the outside, and piping hot on the inside. Not over cooked either. I was surprised to learn they had dolce leche for dessert, and it was perfect! Caramel and milky cake with caramel yogurt balls and whipped cream. The prices were very reasonable, and the service was so friendly without being overbearing. If I visit Saranac lake again, this will be my go-to!

Slow service, rude staff. checked in as a party of 12 after telling them we didn’t care if we sat together they could separate us. They sat multiple tables instead of us. Then once we told them again to sit us wherever after 40 minutes of waiting she Rudely sat us a party if 12 up for 10 and then when we called her out on it she went and got someone else and they came and told us they wouldn’t serve us so we had to leave after waiting 40 minutes of watching them sit other people ahead of us. So we went to jrecks and it was must nicer and cheaper 🤣

We had a party of 12 so we made a reservation, and the hostess told us 40 minutes. We told them we did not need to sit together because we understand it was a busy night. We sat outside in front of the restaurant waiting for our reservation and we watched them seat multiple parties while we were waiting. We went in 40 minutes later and she said we were next. We waited for 15 more minutes until someone in our party told the hostess we have been waiting and we have watched her seat other parties in front of us. She then said we were next and only had enough seats for 10 out of the 12 of us. That same person in my party told her that, and she then got the manager and the manager told us we had to leave because we were being rude. We thought this was ridiculous.
