Welcoming and friendly service, incredibly unique food, and worth the price for a special occasion. Our server was a sweetheart.
There were a couple of vegetarian main course options that were thoughtful and delicious. The menu focused on seasonal and local. Meat options are unique and not something you'll find at many other places, which makes it hard to choose! You might not get much to take home, but i'd say it's a filling meal and worth the experience.
Bookmarked spot for ADK trips!

Was looking for a nice dinner in the area to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. Food was fantastic, we had an excellent experience. One of the best dinners we've had in awhile. Well done.

By far one of our favorite restaurants. We come for dinner every time we are in town. The food quality is superb, the service is and has always been great, and the evolving menu always has intriguing options. We highly recommend!

Couldn’t even sit down. I was alone. After a hard day at work. Would have loved to have the halibut but was so turned off. I asked if there was a seat at the bar the waiter said ask her. She looked at me and said no. I was dressed appropriately. They were so rude. I would Never set foot in there. And I was so excited to have the halibut

All in all a good experience
The chiefs interpretation of pork loin was not good but the flavor was there along with enough fat to blubber a whale

The restaurant is wonderful - by far the best in Saranac Lake, and top two or three if you include Lake Placid. The chef makes such clean delicious food. It is not the 'over-sauced' approximation of good food that you often find up here. It is tasteful, careful food with well sourced ingredients. This kitchen would easily draw a following in Manhattan. The service is friendly and authentic but always professional. If you can get a table, don't miss this place.

This is my family's number one spot. We visit Lake Placid for a few weeks every year and we make it a priority to visit Fiddlehead at least twice a week. My favorite dish is the mushroom tortellini.

Exceptional service extremely well prepared and well plated dishes from the salad to the dessert.
Vegetarian options: Definitely have more than one choice for vegetarians. And vegetarian options change week to week this place is absolutely amazing.

We walked in without a reservation, and we're greeted warmly and shown to a table.
The staff was pleasant, knowledgeable, and attentive. My wife had the halibut and said it was one of the best seafood dishes she's ever had. I had the duck 2 ways. Tender, beautifully seasoned, and perfectly prepared. Even the sides stood out. Great meal and just a wonderful dining experience.

Small, cozy place. Service was friendly and easy going. Better tell them if you’re in any rush.Food was good. We had the General Tso’s Tofu, Gnocchi, Hanger Steak and Chicken Tikka Masala. As vegetarians we noticed some menu errors like the “Lobster Roll” having a ‘v’, vegetarian label on the menu. Oops. The others tried the lobster roll and it was good.Dessert we shared the Maple Pot o Crème, wow, and the Chocolate Peanut Butter cup, very good.
Vegetarian options: Always has vegetarian choices. Apps and mains.

This is a very nice little bistro in Seneca Lake. Because we had eaten a late lunch, we just had the artisanal cheese and meat selection but it was first rate! They also had a nice, but small wine selection. The service was attentive and the atmosphere was a nice cozy, but bustling vibe. Highly recommend.

One of the best meals I have ever had. Quaint setting, creative menu, and the food literally couldn’t have been better. Garnished with an adventurous stable of beers and cocktails, and this easily fits into one of my favorite restaurants anywhere. What an amazing find!
