The tables with the benches are extreme too close. Also the bench is too high so your be ding to eat and I left with a backache. They came and never told prices for specials but I thought well. It had to be close to other dishes on the menu. Well…. There would be no way I would have ordered had they gave prices like other restaurants.. no choice of salad dressing. And when they wrapped my food they put the bread in the same container with the sauce …. The food tasted good but … I won’t ever go back
I called to book a table three weeks in advance to ensure my wife and I could have a special evening for our first Christmas Eve together. While we are not Christians, we very much enjoy the festive atmosphere and joy of the season. We chose Annarella Restaurant for what we hoped would be a memorable experience. My wife wore her new dress for the occasion, and we drove nearly two hours from central Westchester to Saugerties, excited for the evening. Unfortunately, our experience fell far below expectations. Upon arrival, we were greeted by an older woman in a manner that was indifferent at best. She made no attempt to make us feel welcome—her displeasure at seeing us could not be more obvious. Despite this, we greeted her politely and informed her of our 7:00 PM reservation. She checked her screen and then led us to a table near the receptionist’s desk, situated awkwardly in the middle of a high-traffic area. “This is the table I have for you” she says with a smirk face. It was clear this was the least desirable table in the restaurant. Hoping for a better option, we kindly asked to be seated elsewhere. She curtly replied, "There is no other table." While the restaurant was somewhat busy, we could clearly see other tables of the same size available. My wife even pointed one out, but the woman flatly refused, saying, "No, sorry, there’s nothing I can do for you". We stepped aside from the table to process what had just happened. “Can you step aside; you are in the middle of the way” she said. The irony wasn’t lost on us—she wanted us to clear the very space where she expected us to be seated moments earlier. It added insult to injury and left us feeling even more unwelcome. We felt so embarrassed and humiliated that we decided to leave to avoid enduring more humiliation. We couldn’t help but feel that our treatment was influenced by prejudice. We are not of the same cultural or religious background as many others celebrating that evening, and her demeanor and unwillingness to accommodate us felt dismissive at best and discriminatory at worst. What was meant to be a special evening became a disheartening and deeply disappointing experience. If anyone else has experienced similar treatment at this restaurant or felt that they were not treated fairly, I encourage you to share your experience. It’s important for such issues to be acknowledged and addressed to ensure everyone feels welcome and respected.
Food was absolutely amazing. Owner and staff were more than welcoming on a cold night. Angela served us and made sure our stay was perfect.

I can’t believe the prices in this place for a food without flavor. I got a chicken recommendation with spinach. It was $38 and it was totally no flavor and so grassy. Really but experience. That’s no a real good food honestly. A portion of crabs was an appetaizer, it was $30. It was a can crabs; I can’t believe. No good experience in this place.
It is apparent that the chef / owner doesn't car about this place anymore. Careful to not move anything around if you choose to go. The place is absolutely filthy. There is mold spots growing on the wall where people have splashed their food. Love the duct tape on the mirror too. Menus are broken apart in the center and have mold growing in them too.
Service was robotic and without care.
Had ordered two appetizers and a bottle of wine to start. After eating the bland taste of what was clearly packaged mozzarella and prosciutto, we corked the bottle, paid the bill and left. Wouldn't go back for a free dinner.

If there was an option to rate above 5 stars, ANNARELLA'S would earn it deservingly!
*I was meeting a fellow equestrian to talk shop and catch up. My friend was coming all the way from New Jersey solely for this meeting. I underestimated the amount of time I'd have available that afternoon between leaving the barn and getting to ANNARELLA'S, and my Lyft was about 20 minutes later than scheduled.
I say that to make the point that while I did call the restaurant en route, I arrived nearly 30 minutes past the initial reservation time. Coming directly from the barn wearing some *well ridden in* breeches and boots. I opened the door, and immediately smiled. It was like walking into a warm hug. Definitely a dinner crowd, but nothing crowded or chaotic.
Our server Angela met me me at the door with a inviting and genuine welcome. A softly candlelit corner table dressed in a linen tablecloth even my Grandmother would've been impressed by.

Hi there!
You are hands down best server I can recall ever having the pleasure of tipping! Will definitely be requesting you personally next reservation. Thank you so much! ✨
Bread and their house made hummus?
To die for.
Appetizers were scrumptious.
Angela suggested the perfect bottle of wine to compliment our meal.
Entrees were remarkably delicious and fresh.
No hassle making and adjusting same day reservations. All staff went above and beyond in every way to ensure our dining experience was phenomenal. Will be returning soon- in the meantime - I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the marsala. 😁🙏✅✨✨✨✨✨

Joe and his amazing team provide a beautifully crafted experience. The food is amazing. The care that goes into preparing the salads, breads, meats, pastas…you name it- can be found in every bite! The atmosphere is a uniquely curated visual feast as well. This is a place to enjoy!!

This place is okay, the food is good but i think they should train their staff better or to be more confident on what they’re doing because they don’t look at people too much to see if they need anything. Kind of loud but the food is okay.

This was the best restaurant that I’ve been to in my life so far. They started out with the most mouth-watering cheesy bread, absolutely delicious. I got the penne vodka with chicken and while the chicken wasn’t all the best, the pasta was amazingg! So saucy oh my. Very nice atmosphere as well. Would definitely come again.

Recently dined here on a Saturday night. It was an amazing experience from start to finish. The food was so delicious and the owner was so gracious. The staff was adorable and Attentive. We left with some jars of Annabella’s Sauce which I ate straight out of the jar with the spoon, it was so delicious!

We've dined here twice now over the past two years. While the food, service and atmosphere are all very good we cannot bring ourselves to rate them five stars in any category. In spite of having reservations they tried to offer us one of the worst tables in the house which we refused to accept. Moving on from there our waitress couldn't remember one of the dinner specials that we had just overheard from a nearby table. Her service was otherwise very good. The drinks and dinner were all very good but not exceptional. We probably won't be going back anytime soon.
