Had an amazing dinner at Anarella Restaurante. We walked in without a reservation and were warmly welcomed and seated at the bar right away. The staff was friendly and attentive from the start.
We began with fresh bread and salad, followed by the lamb meatballs, which were incredible, tender, flavorful, and served with a delicious sauce. My partner had the lobster and shrimp pasta, cooked perfectly and full of flavor. I had the truffle purse pasta, which was outstanding, rich, balanced, and not overpowering.
The margaritas were excellent, well made and not watered down. Dessert was a great way to end the meal. The highlight was meeting the owner, who personally came over to greet us and thank us again as we were leaving.
Fantastic food, great drinks, and genuine hospitality.
Highly recommend. We will definitely be back.

My fiancee and I met his son at Annarella on Saturday night. We had a 7 pm reservation, and I was glad we did...because the place was packed. It was our first visit, and we will definitely be returning. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, the drinks were delicious and well made, and our healthy portions of entrees were cooked to perfection and thoroughly enjoyed!
We started with two appetizers: mussels and stuffed mushrooms. Both were delicious.
I had one of the specials for my entree which was an extremely large, breaded veal dish with marina that was perfection, and cheese that was the perfect blend of crispy and chewy.
Both my fiancé and his son had the Paccheri. The slow cooked short rib melted in your mouth and the mascarpone and shaved parmigiana took the flavor to the next level.
We will most definitely be returning!

We are local. This is our favorite restaurant in the
area. We are going there this week for our anniversary.
This is such a cosy restaurant! Extensive wine selection but lacking in vegetarian options. I stumbled into this place 3 years ago and had the most life changing mushroom risotto. I was in the area and had to visit again but turns out that was a special at the time and I discovered that there were not a lot of options on the regular menu. However the 3 vegetable sides available were tasty!

We initially found out about this place by trying some of their sauces during the 2025 garlic festival. They were delicious, so we had to try the food. The restaurant is nice and spacious with a bar area, and while there was ample open seating, we were seated at a table in-between two other parties. We didn't care though, and we understood the reasoning as the restaurant began to fill soon after. The wait staff was very courteous and knowledgeable about the food and drinks. We decided to go with the Pollo Al Limone and the Pacherri. Both were delicious. The lemon on the chicken was perfect and did not overpower the rest of the dish. The braised beef was tender and flavorful on the paccheri, and the accompanying rigatoni was cooked to the perfect texture of my liking. Of the cocktails, I tried the French 77, which was light and bubbly, and the Dr. Fox, which was a bit stronger, but still tasty. We finished with an espresso and creme brulee, which were good. Overall, an excellent experience and not what I would've expected in rural NY. Definitely better than quite a few of the restaurants we've tried in the city.

UPDATE AS OF 12/29/2025: We went back with another couple and the food was just as good or better. Still the best Veal Chop Parm this side of NYC. Everyone had amazing food and hats off to our server Jody. As a C.E.C. who specializes in Italian food, I am constantly looking for an Italian Restaurant that is at my standards. This out of the way place comes close to how I make my cuisine and serve it. First point goes to the basket of bread, Focaccia and baguette slices accompanied with 3 different Hummus'. Our app was the Antipasto (Meats and Cheese with olives) which was spot on (the only critique was the Sopressata was sliced a little to thick). The House salad was a pleasant surprise with Mesclun mix and shaved fennel dressed with a light Vinaigrette. I like my Veal Parm. I dislike over pounded leg slices that are overcooked and lack flavor (some Restaurants use Pork to fool you). To me you should be using a Veal Chop with the bone. Whole, pounded or butterflied with a seasoned breading and a marinara that doesn't come right out of a can. The Chef delivered. The only thing I wanted was a bigger Chop. It was that much better then the 98% of Italian Restaurants in Upstate New York. My Companion had Halibut over Risotto. Nice size portion that was moist and flavorful. Dessert was as good as it gets. The Ricotta pie was exceptional and the Tiramisu was delicious. Attention to detail and spot on service. My Italian food is damn good, but when I don't want to cook, we have a new place to enjoy.

Joe knows how to run a restaurant. Especially an Italian one. We’ve gone there since he opened. I promise you will enjoy immensely.

My wife took us here to celebrate my birthday. The restaurant "lost" our reservation (confirmed the day before), gave us a lousy table right next to the entrance, tho' most of the place was empty. My dinner was OK; my wife's was awful & she didn't eat it. The service was unprofessional and the owner obnoxious. Not worth the expense nor the experience.

Ate here on a visit from Colorado and we had such a wonderful meal! We don't have great Italian food where I live, so I was very excited to eat here — and my expectations were high. We shared the special appetizer, fried mozzarella, and then the lobster pasta and chicken limone, and then tiramisu for dessert. All of it was outstanding! Plus we just enjoyed being able to sit and linger, the service was great. Wish we were closer!
