The people are very nice, friendly. The Veggie Stacker was inedible, we threw nearly all of it away. The burger 100% had to be previously cook one and reheated hard plug, and seriously overcooked for a medium rare, I’d say well done. We gave Buns this 2nd chance after the last try, we figured the issue was the overuse of their sauces, everything slide away, impossible to eat hand held, only taste the sauce.
Fries were good though.
I’ll hit The Pig or Burger King the next time I want a burger. Sorry.

Great milkshake, good fries, decent burger, poor staff interactions. The cooks seem great but the person behind the counter didn’t even look me in the eyes. I arrived to pick my order up and they hadn’t actually started it. I wasn’t told to wait. I wasn’t told that there had been a mistake and they’d missed it. Instead I stood there aimlessly for 20 minutes while they prepared it. Not a word was said to me. At least let your customer know what’s happened. Especially when they’re told their food will be ready for when they arrive.

Yesterday I ordered a cheeseburger, fries and a shake. I can't be sure if the grass fed burger was chop meat, but I do know this wasn't a typical run-of-the-mill processed burger patty. The fries were homemade because some had skin, those were good too. The shake was made with natural vanilla bean I believe, I could see the black seeds in it, that's how I knew.
Though it cost almost $ 20** it was worth it, I was glad to not eat a dried out processed burger for a change.

Like 5 guys but more expensive and not as good. The menu said burgers would be cooked medium but all of ours were very well done unfortunately. The fries were okay, thinner cut than 5 guys but similar. Bun sauce was the highlight for me, delightful, but $1 for a small 2oz cup. Good milkshakes.

This was my first visit to Buns in Saugerties. I've had decent experiences at the Rhinebeck and Kingston locations, but this was a different story. Like many restaurants, Buns has implemented a credit card surcharge. It is irksome, but I understand they are trying to recoup processing fees. I went with cash, but then they wouldn't take a $100 bill. Sadly, $100 doesn't get you very far these days, especially feeding a family of 4 with burgers and drinks. New $100 bills are loaded with security features, not to mention counterfeit detection pens. I thought this was obnoxious - charge more for credit but refuse good cash. To add further insult, the girls working here were extremely unfriendly. Our food was literally delivered with a scowl. The food tasted good, but the overall experience left me flat and I won't be returning. It seems management is more interested in expanding locations than getting things right. If history is a guide, this likely won't play out well for them.

This place is a 10 out of 10 with the perfect burger. Also the fries have the perfect crisp!! Fast casual atmosphere… you won’t regret it.
I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich to go. It had a lot of toppings on it so I didn’t realize right away, that I was eating raw chicken. I was thinking it wasn’t very good, but I didn’t realize how bad until I scraped the toppings off and looked at it. When I returned to the store to let them know, although they were very kind about it and returned my money, the manager insisted that it only looked this way because it was dark meat and all their chicken looks like this. Not sure I’ll ever eat chicken again. I was traumatized.
