We found the service to be sub par. The ambience is casual but the prices aren't. The food was average. This place was nothing special. My Thai salmon dish was sloppy with too many unappealing flavors.

The food is amazing, and we left feeling satisfied and planning our next trip to New World. I personally have a lot of digestive issues, which cause me a lot of stress and anxiety when going out to eat. Our party of 4 ordered both off the menu and the buffet. The food was very good. Our waiter, Kieran, was exceptional. He was very attentive, but not in our face. He was so polite and friendly. I cannot remember when the last time was that we went out to eat where the service was so good. I specifically asked him his name before we left so I could give him a good review. (He looked a little nervous like he thought he did something wrong). The only negative thing that should be mentioned was the blaring speaker that was within a few feet of our table. We had a hard time talking to each other. They should invest in speakers in the ceiling. We would have asked for a different table but the restaurant was packed. Besides that, I would highly recomment New World Home Cooking.

Great buffet for Thanksgiving with endless options, it seemed. I felt a lot of the food was spicy, which may not be to everyone's liking. they should hold back on that.

We were visiting from New York City on Thanksgiving night, and we couldn't have picked a better place to go for dinner. I'm really glad I made a reservation because the place was PACKED with lots of happy families and couple enjoying Thanksgiving dinner. The food was beyond delicious, and the service was great. We're probably going to make it a Thanksgiving tradition from now on.

Ric and staff give perfect dining experience. Shiloh, our server, was so what you want. Not too present but always available. The food, well it's just the best. Sourced responsibly, excellently prepared and beautifully presented.

Went here for our anniversary. Place has a modern look inside, but the menu was all over the place - there were dishes that were jamaican, italian moroccan, thai, american and many more. The food was ok (swordfish was undercooked), but i got the feeling the kitchen staff was ok at offering a variety of dishes, and not particularly great at making any single dish.
My husband and I enjoyed our first visit here. We have dined at the sister restaurant in Albany and enjoyed that so much so we sought this restaurant site out because the cuisine is varied and the dishes are tasty. The best part is that many of the items on the menu are gluten-free and are not substitutes! We like to think of ourselves as foddies, so we are always open to new dishes and plates, but having Celiac's makes sampling difficult in many restaurants. The Albany site and this site don't just give a 'nod' to gluten-free. It is clear that they get it...that those of us to love food want to experience the meal just like everyone else. Thank you and keep up the good work!
As we have for almost three decades, we loved our meal at New World. The food is fresh, the menu is inventive and the service is amiable and swift. There is something for everyone to eat, from carnivores to vegans, from folks who love hot, spicey dishes to those who don't. And while you're there, you are not merely served, you're TAKEN CARE OF. Great wine, beer and cocktail choices, too! It sometimes gets a bit loud in the dining rooms, so intimate conversations can be tricky, but if the place isn't full, a quieter corner can usually be located. Here's a secret that only the "regulars" know----if you want to be treated EXTRA-specially, ask the staff to call you "Sonny and Cher"!

We had yet again, another great time at New World. The menu is diverse enough to include. Zucchini spriralized noodles with salmon in a delicious sauce, to lobster, to Cuban pulled pork. Something for everyone!

We only come to your restaurant one a year for our anniversary. We drive up from Huntington Long Island to stay with a friend in the area. After 7 years I can't think of a time we were disappointed! We were lucky that night to have Shilah (hope I didn't butcher her name) as our server as well as on Sunday morning for brunch. She has a great personality and of course is incredibly good at her job. Wish we lived closer!
