We had a great experience at Main Street Restaurant in Saugerties. We ordered the Tacos al Carbon, a steak burrito, and the chicken avocado sandwich, all freshly made and full of flavor. The service was attentive and friendly from start to finish. Everything arrived in good time, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Definitely a solid spot for a casual meal with good food and great service.
This tiny restaurant has the WORST atmosphere of all our local restaurants. It’s basically a super loud BAR with decent food. Totally crowded and they cram everyone in to every available space while you’re eating near a loud bar with drunken guests.
( BTW, it’s NOT authentic Mexican food, it’s Guatemalan food, a little strange if you’re expecting Mexican. ). It is good food but you cannot hear your guests talking across the table. Prices are somewhat reasonable...

My vegetarian burrito and my wife's rice was made with chicken stock even though we informed the waitress before ordering that we are vegetarian.
Apart from these issues, the service was good and the food was good. Everything else was exactly what you would expect from a standard Mexican-American restaurant.
