If you're looking for a quiet friendly bar with a good atmosphere then this is your spot and they serve food up to 11:45 at night. I didn't have food but we had drinks and they were great but I heard people talking about the food was awesome. So

The food here is always spot on! They have the best fish and chips, as well as the poke bowls. String beans fries are so yummy! Yellowtail, burgers, mussels are also favorites! It would be great to open up the place and create a more lounge atmosphere there. It's one of our favorite places for food!

The burgundy fried chicken & shrimp was awesome. A bit spicy but delicious!

We had a party of ten and the waitress said she couldn't move a table closer to ours. So we wound up with all of us tightly squeezed around one round table. And, this same waitress never introduced herself, never smiled and was "stand-off-ish" the entire time. The food was good and plenty but they need new staff.

The waitress was ridiculous didn’t bring out the right food at the right time argued about it and was argumentative. Don’t waste your money here.

Amazing burgers, vegan options, and good drinks. Try the brandy fire! Who expects a dive bar to have this level of grub?

The two girls on shift were amazing and super kind. Might come back just to visit them!

The kitchen was a little slow, but the food was very good! The fish and chips were fantastic! Not a heavy beer batter... light and crisp, and the fish was moist and flavorful. The side salad was very good, but the lemon dressing was a bit too lemony. The lotus root appetizer was delicious... the black bean sauce was spicy but not overwhelming.I'd definitely go back.

Stopped in here because I was too late to get dinner at the Dutch, which I'd been to before, before it closed on a Sunday night. Vibe was nice but not fancy. The lone bartender (Angelina?) was also doing table service.I had a Tully and a few beers. The standard pour was half-pints, which honestly I kinda dig. I ordered a steak sandwich rare, with mac & cheese on the side.It was so good.I had the mac first and it was so rich and cheesy, like good proper cheese flavor. Definitely NY cheddar. She asked if I wanted hot sauce and I was presented with two varieties of Ric Orlando's hot sauces, which I understand is a local company. The Dirty Blonde elevated the mac from great to phenomenal. I could've eaten a gallon of it.The steak was a lovely reddish-pink and was seasoned subtly but excellently. There was a garlic element that was great too, and the habanero cheese worked well. All in all just a fantastic meal out. Literally my only complaint is that it was a bit dark inside.

I prefer this restaurant over some in the village as menu has a lot of variety. Been coming here. But giving 4 stars as the lady at the bar on 5/26/2023 in the afternoon was not very welcoming. I came in to ask if dogs are allowed, which was fine if not, then I asked if they’re putting tables outside as they did this a week ago, but she said they’re not putting tables outside, so we ended up going to a different place, however, after about 2hours, we passed by the place and saw that they did put tables out. Was just very disappointed.

Really great food, definitely something for everyone at this location.

A nice, quiet, roomy, medium sized restaurant and bar in a cavernous old (early 1900s) building. Excellent, interesting menu, modest to medium priced. A good place for a small group to meet over dinner. Modest selection of wines, many beers (many local). Good, local art on the walls. Excellent, friendly wait staff.Vegetarian options: A few good (I'm told) options. Probably not for vegans.Parking: On the street or the free municipal lot down the 50 yard access road across the street (you don't see it).Kid-friendliness: Older kids would be fine but not a "family" restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: Short step up and then plenty of room inside. They probably have a portable (required with the old, narrow, bluestone sidewalk) ramp.
